I've had only one consistent wish for many, many years-the complete audio (and if possible video companion) from the MSG shows of 11/69 in soundboard quality that were recorded for Get Yer Ya Yas Out which I know are out there. I would like to enjoy these shows before I pass on to the next world....

This is such a strange thread-whether Bono is conceited or not-if he is a change agent for good, what is so wrong with that? A lot of the best rock and roll music I grew up with was about positive change/hypocrisy, and like others before him (eg Lennon, Geldof), at least he walks it the way he talks it..

Quotemickschix I was at that last show in Buffalo, August 8, 1975 and I thought it was one of the best, if not THE BEST Stones concert I've seen and there have been 36 in all. When Mick sang " Angie" you could have heard a pin drop in that crowd of 98,000 +. They rocked! Brown Sugar was over the top, and it was great seeing a stripped down stage and Mick and Keith singing TOGETHER,

I'm also one of those people who have come to re-appreciate the 1975 shows. I saw the Stones in Buffalo, New York on the last night of the Tour of the Americas in 8/75 (my second show since Toronto 1972). From listening to several shows from that tour (Buffalo, Detroit, LA, MSG), this writer feels that this tour showcased some of Ron Wood's best playing (probably because this was his ma

Here is my wish list- I'm a selfish old time Stones fan who is sick to death of the warhorses-ALL OF THEM! To Mick and the boys (if you are out there and reading this), let's take a risk and dump the formula...If there is a "next tour" in the works, here is some suggestions of what you could do: play a small theater or arena show playing THE BLUES or rarities seldom played (mi

The following warhorse songs should not be played PERIOD because the performances of said tunes have gotten worse every tour: Jumpin' Jack Flash (Jagger sounds bored singing it) Honky Tonk Women (I hate that piano solo; song too long) Tumbling Dice (once a great song, now an extended, boring mess) Miss You Sympathy for the Devil (Keith can't play the solos anywhere near as good

Soul Survivor-I saw your post and laughed my ass off- not because I disagree with you but because you are so right on! I mean, how many more years do we (especially older) Stones fans have to wait before the vaults open up and some of these treasures get released???? It is totally ridiculous! I don't know if the folks at ABKCO are just dicks or if they can't release any of these recordi

As a Stones fan who has seen at least two shows on every concert tour since 1972 (I purposely skipped the Bigger Bang tour as for me it was getting to the point of "Been There Done That" too often), I've always felt that the Steel Wheels tour got bashed unnecessarily because it was deemed "too slick". Aside from that claim, the Stones as a band never sounded so sharp and

I'm responding to KEES post. As a long time Stones fan who has caught the Stones at least once-twice on every concert tour since 1972, I chose not to see any gigs on the Bigger Bang tour for the reasons you mentioned. Specifically, I'm sick of hearing the WARHORSES which are sounding worse and worse on every tour. Plus, I think Keith's playing has diminished. God knows, on many vid

After reading some of these posts, I felt compelled to write. One of the reasons that the Ya Yas Project evolved was due to the fact that many, many Stones fans from all over the world have wished that the Stones organization would release some of the buried treasures (CDs of studio, live recordings/DVDs) from the vaults. The re-release of Ya Yas (in its entirety) was at the top of the list for ma

After several weeks of working together with various Stones fans, what started out as a small group project has blossomed into many, many interested fans who helped organize and generate a petition for the re-release of Get Yer Yas Yas Out in a complete and extended format...Once we get enough signatures, this petition will be forwarded to the Stones organization to demonstrate our serious intent

As a follow-up to my original post- I just want the readers on this website to understand that I don't live in a bubble and I am familiar with the history of this record and the obstacles that I face in getting this re-released in some fashion. However, time is running out. I think the re-release of this classic in an extended and complete format is LONG OVERDUE! I know that the odds are aga

Several discussions on the Beggars Banquet forum regarding fans' frustrations with why the Stones have never released their best live album in its entirety have prompted this writer to formulate an idea to get some type of mass letter writing campaign to the Stones organization expressing our interest and intent to get Ya Yas re-released with the whole show from beginning to end. I am writin

Hi if somebody could point me in the right direction....I admit to not being the most computer savy. I tried to download the Steel Wheels wave files that were posted a few messages below...When I try to play them back via Real Player, I got a message saying "Requested file not accurate. The link you followed be outdated or inaccurate." Any suggestions as to what I could do differently??

Just an FYI to Stones fans out there. I sent away for and got today the 4 Reel version of the Stones Pay Per View Hampton show from 1981. I don't have any other versions of this show so I can't compare and contrast the quality of other releases. However, the sound and picture quality of this release is excellent! Definitely a must and worth having for the old collection!

As far as good quality DVDs, what are the best shows to get from the Japan stops in 2003 from the Licks tour? Also-Besides Four Flicks from the Licks tour, are there any other recommended DVDS to get from this tour?
