Quotewith sssoul If you mean what I think you mean, Sister Marie, that's not an enclosure in front of the stage - it's a footpath. It's been on all the maps. Not marked with a heavy black line though ....

QuoteAquamarine Are you in Tier 1? Meet up with me, and we'll guard each other's spot. (4ft.11 woman, long streaky blonde hair, looks old enough to know better. ) It's still maddening, though--that is indeed what we thought we were paying for. Goodness knows what the 100 pounds for the bar is for. Ah, shame, I've got Tier 2. Would have been nice!

I feel the same way as you, I paid extra to have a decent view with the freedom to come and go, since I'll be on my own with no one to guard my place. I'll be so disappointed if we've been cheated. I don't want to have to spend hours guarding a spot.

QuoteAquamarinemy plan wasn't anything more elaborate than lurking outside until a Tier 3 person comes along who wants to swap! To tell the truth, I'm leery about doing anything else during the day as there's no way I'm going to be able to see anything unless I stake out a spot and stick to it, and I can probably get a better one in Tier 3. I dunno . . . I'm getting sic

QuotegibsonmanCan`t wait to see the pictures. I received an e-mail today from Frontgate. I asked how far from stage the tier 2 is. They didn`t answer to that. Earlier they have said that tier 2 gives you a good view of the main stage. This time they just answered about the facilities such as toilets... (!) I just don`t trust them anymore.... Keep that email! We can use as much evidence as we c

Quotebeepee2 Quotemoralinsanity Hi all, I will be uploading images tomorrow with views directly from Tier 1 and Tier 2 from the site as is now. This should clear it up for us all exactly what we are getting for our money. I have to admit though that the pictures I have already don't fill me with confidence that our Tier 2 tickets will even guarantee a nice patch of grass with a view at

QuoteLimbostone This Hyde Park Festival is a bit weird isn't it? It has Bon Jovi and Kaiserchiefs on Friday, Stones on Saturday and then Stones again a week later. That's about it really. There's three more line-ups yet to be announced. Sunday 7th, then Fri 12th and Sun 14th. Rumour has it that two of the headliners will be Van Morrison and Leonard Cohen.

Quotecrawdaddythey could change the goalposts again when they like. This is what is so worrying. All trust has gone. It would have made a big difference to me if they had apologised properly for their mistake - NOT "confusion" - and offered us some compensation in the form of a discount. There's enough money there to cover it, and the goodwill would be intact. The pro

QuoteSixsixseveneight QuoteMRambler I just got reply from AEG. Sorry to hear you are still dissatisfied. You can access the GA area from the Tier 2 area, and are free to come and go as much as you choose. You will not have to use the general entrance at all with a Tier 2 ticket. I’m afraid we are unable to offer partial refunds, however the offer of a full refund or a downgrade to Tier

QuoteTonstone Thanks for that - to book pre- sale did you have to have a Barclay Card credit card/ account ? No, I didn't. I had the email link after signing up for the BST Hyde Park newsletter. Good luck!

QuoteSixsixseveneight Do you think Tier 2 will be able to enter at the GA entrance? I have a few buddys who have Tier 3 tickets and I'd like to queue with them. There's no earthly reason why not. Tier 2 tickets are also GA tickets and entitle you to enter all public areas of the site except for Tier 1.

Ticketmaster should have them, and probably other agencies too. I booked via the pre-sale last week, and as I hadn't had any dealings before with Frontgate, I created an account with them a day before. That paid off as I didn't have to type in any of my personal details apart from card details - it all auto-completed so that saved valuable time.

QuoteIGTBAUPDATE: First, I want to say again this is a long shot to even get started - and even if successful will probably not change anything before the Hyde Park concert. It took time today to research which firms to contact and get prepared, so I will be starting to call these firms tomorrow morning (USA time). I'll try to provide an update before Friday morning UK time. Thanks for

And something else to bear in mind. This is England. It could be lashing down with rain all day. Worse, it could have been lashing down the previous day as well and already be a churned-up mudbath after the Bon Jovi gig. That is what happened last year for the Wireless festival weekend - the ground was so saturated that the next gig had to be cancelled, and tonnes of woodchip had to be

Quotegotdablouse So it seems they confirmed that there would be a way to move out of T2/T1 to T3? Not that surprising, I guess the question is where that access will be possible...from the front or from the back! There was never any question that T1 & T2 ticketholders would not be able to move around the entire site. It is a festival, with three other stages and many other artists besides

QuoteMax'sKansasCity Quotenobodyimportant Some of you are going to be shocked at the volume at Hyde Park. Last year, unless you were near the front, you could barely hear the bands if people were talking near you. We're told it will be louder this year, but I'm not expecting it to be much louder. Dont they set up speakers throughout the entire the area? I mean as you go back f

Quotebv The show is lasting for two hours. You have to be there a couple of hours before show start. You are not allowed in with water or liquid, so you have to enter food and drinks queues, also toilet queues, where there are crowds. It will take until midnight before you are out, unless you leave before the show is finished. The small kids will be tired, uncomfortable and they will bother both

Why on earth couldn't they have done it like the HRC Springsteen gig last year? There were "VIP packages" sold for that too, and they had an area cordoned off for them some way back from the stage, but facing it in a central position. The FOS (plus a sizeable bank behind) was filled with people who queued and ran. I was a long, long way behind all that (thanks to the people I

QuoteIGTBA A different possible way we could go after these lying companies. I have been assuming any legal action would need to be under UK and/or English law. However, there may be a way this can be covered by USA law - through a class action. Front Gate Tickets is primarily a US company, with what appears to be their main office in Austin, TX. My ticket was purchased through barclaycardb

Just laughing bitterly to myself at the thought of the music being too loud ... If only ! There's NO CHANCE in Hyde Park that the music will be loud !!! You would need to be right at the back keeping away from the crowd with such young children anyway, and they wouldn't see anything. It's really not worth it, and they are too young to appreciate it. They would be bored.

It's been said before, but that layout they are showing will be very dangerous unless they turn the front part of T3 into a protected pit area - with the firstcomers getting wristbands to allow them to move in and out freely. But Rob's words about people being prepared to stay there all day mean that they are not going to do this. Recipe for disaster methinks.
