QuoteGerardHennessy I've been watching the cricket on Sky where they have been showing pix of Mick in the posh seats. The commentator (Michael Atherton) mentioned that he and another Sky Sports pundit (Mark Butcher) shared a glass of wine with MJ last evening. You'd think they could all afford a glass each.

Quotesaltoftheearth Quotejahisnotdead When there's something unfamiliar being played, the energy level of the audience drops. It's just a fact. And when the Stones play a stadium, they want people jazzed up to the max from beginning to end. So the setlist has mostly settled into the same warhorses. People like to drink and sing along to their favorite songs with their friends. I get it

I loved it and am glad I picked this week rather than last week. I was halfway back in GA and just watching on screens, but most of the people around me were engaged in the show, and a lot dancing. YGMR did what it says on the tin, went down well! Only disappointment was no SFM. If they'd kept that as opener and swapped in GOMC for Tumbling Dice that would have been perfect. I didn&#

Quotejohn lomax I was just thinking about HP1 - if it doesn’t go ahead it can’t be postponed in the same form cannot (ie because it’s part of a festival……). Unless they do the show later that week (ie before HP2) the only the option would be for the Stones to do a standalone London gig at Wembley or Twickenham or some other stadium? A few years ago Elton John was the headline act at the HP fest

Quotehockenheim95 I think we might get some changes at one of the Hyde Park shows with SFM, OOT or 19th left out and replaced by something different. Hopefully Mothers Little Helper Oh I do hope not. I love SFM as an opener, OOT is one of my all-time favourites and I've never heard 19th live. Not fussed about MLH.

"Out Of Time" was the song I requested when Mick posted that Instagram asking for suggestions. I'm going to Hyde Park 2 and desperately hoping they play it then.

Yes yes yes, I really hope they keep OOT in the set! Absolute monster of a song and one of my all-time favourites.

That IS a result! Ian just posted about it on Facebook: We are very pleased to announce that we are sharing a stage with the Rolling Stones on the 9th June at Anfield. Tickets available via Bunnymen.com There’s Nothing Like The Rolling Stones. And There’s Nowhere Like Anfield. I can’t explain how unbelievably happy and proud I am that my band Echo & The Bunnymen are going to be opening

Quotedaspyknows Quotenobodyimportant That's really disappointing. I was waiting to see who the supports were before committing to a date. Looks like I won't be going at all now. Since BST have failed to provide all the information it's a rotten way to treat people. Wait...you are saying the opening act will determine whether or not to go see the Stones? In LA there were two s

Still no news on Hyde Park support acts, and other line-ups there are still incomplete.

QuoteBig Al I feel I should address my Springsteen comments a little more: I like quite a few of his songs; I’m just grappling with the reasoning behind my lack of desire to explore further. Perhaps, my ‘too American’ comment is too lazy; I suspect it is. It certainly wasn’t intended as any kind of slur at all. I love ‘classic America’; I’m just wondering whether Bruce is a little much. I don’t k

Quotegrzegorz67 Quotenobodyimportant Re the 10.30 pm curfew ..... Just as well, given the pitiful lack of late-night public transport in the UK. It's fine in London. Just don't hang around too long after the show. Make sure you get your train or bus. If going to Hyde Park, please note they often close Marble Arch Tube station after gigs in the park - it just gets swamped. head fo

I'm wondering if Grace Jones might do one of the Hyde Park shows. Reason being, she was originally confirmed on the line-up with Duran Duran and Nile Rodgers & Chic. But the show was re-advertised after the postponements with no mention of Grace. She will be in London in June as she's curating Meltdown Festival at the South Bank Centre, so it could be that it was decided to swi

Quotetreaclefingers Quotenobodyimportant I thought it would be the cheaper price is if you buy in the first drop. Bit unfair on those who want to wait to see who the supports are before choosing a date. But obv not, if they're already on sale. If you're using the 'support acts' to make your buy decision, forgive me for saying but I think 'the plot' has been lost.

QuoteGram QuoteTumlin73 Quoteno stone unturned What's "Teir 2" general admission for Hyde PArk? Is it nearer or further back??? I was thinking this, an extra £5-6? Has anyone got a clue as to the answer to this? GA Tier 2 were the only ones available at 10am now, they seem to have added the GA Launch option. I’m assuming ‘Tier 2’ can’t be a worse view as they’re £5 more expensi

Quotepetewasbristol Just trying to plan trains home. There is a train from Paddington back home to Bristol at 11.30 for the first Hyde Park gig. Can anyone remember what time the BST shows end? I know they have a curfew for 11.00 but I believe (if I remember rightly) that most bands finish at 10.30 (I think in 2013 Stones came on stage at 8.30 and ended at 10.30?). Thank you to anyone who can hel

QuoteTopi Saw this map giving an idea of the general layout at Hyde Park: Don't rely on this being the same. BST Hyde Park has different configurations according to what's been agreed with the headline artist, and the layout can change daily. When The Cure headlined a few years back, they specified GA only and there were no VIP sections.

A lot will depend on where the Gold and Diamond areas actually are. I remember in 2013 they tried to push them off to the side, away from the stage. There was a massive outcry because they had already advertised them and sold them as being closer to the stage than GA. In the end they put them on one side of the catwalk with GA on the other.

I saw them at Kentish Town Forum in 2018. The venue was packed, absolutely rammed, and it became stiflingly hot. Eventually Greta Van Fleet came on stage over an hour late, smirking, no apologies or explanation. This sort of behaviour was common in the 1970s but I'm not seventeen any more. By then I'd been on my feet in a cramped space for over two hours. The set was mercifu

Quotegrzegorz67 It sounds like we were the lucky ones in even catching a Tube. Our bus was 2nd in the treacle slow convoy and it seems that many later ones arrived after Richmond Tube Station shut down for the night. I'm so sorry you had such a miserable time getting home, Gregor. But please satisfy my curiosity - why did the buses take so long? We walked all the way to Richmond and o

We were in GA and followed my rule of "If you can't be in the front row, go to the back". Loads of room at the back and if you're short like us, you get a better if more distant view of the band rather than other people's backs and heads. Plus room to dance, jump up and down and go mental! We had a blast dancing with random friendly strangers, much more fun than being
