His Majesty, please keep up the good work. I regularly follow The Brian Jones Resource on Facebook and Youtube and I think that it is great.

In the already cited Bam interview Paul said about early LA Woman sessions: "I worked my ass off for a week, but it was still just @#$%& awful. I'd go into them and TELL them that, hoping that it would make them angry enough to do something good: "This isn't rock 'n' roll, it's cocktail lounge music!" And in the final assessment about that album he said:

As a great fan of The Doors I recommend: Live (especially The End) (the best version the Celebration of the Lizard. Jim was absolutely stunning that night) (Jim was in high spirits that night too. And this version, imo, is best than the studio one. John Sebastian plays the harmonica, Ray is in the guitar and Robby on bass.) (Compare with Morrison's Hotel

QuoteHairball I remember seeing that clip and thinking the guy at the 55 second mark looks a bit like Jim Morrison. Screenshot from video: Jim Morrison, 1969 Surely he does. But by December 69 he was clean-shaven.

Frank Sinatra (the crooning, especially) and Elvis Presley were great references for Morrison's performances. No doubt that Elvis movements clearly inspired Morrison and a whole generation of future lead singers. But ironically, by 1968, we see that with Jim Morrison's emergence as a model for lead singers (stage movements, hair, leather pants), even Elvis was adopting that leather pant

Someone talk about The Doors not being at Monterey, but they have been at The Fantasy Fair, where they had been filmed by a German crew who are passing through California to Mexico to film something about the Maya civilization . And so The Doors were the new hot group at the time, and they had filmed there and late in the same day at the Filmore. Why they were not invited for Monterey? I d

Quotestillife A few comments of my fifht concert of the Stones in Portugal: - Poor audience altought the 90 000 attendence. Most of them went to watch the legends but didnt have much interest for the music. - Mick Jagger is carrying the all show. Impressive how he can still do this with 70 years old. - Keith Richards plays the role of legend but doesn`t add much more musically speaking.

My first ever Rolling Stones concert. Just there.. with no cellphones or cameras. Only for jumping and singing. >< It was a well played concert. Top-playing by all members of the band. The highlights.. Tumbling Dice with Bruce Springsteen: Wow! I've never seen the Boss. It was a great surprise! And better... in one of the my favourite songs. Jumping Jack Flash was reall

Quotebasti any Info about a Broadcast Well, the "official TV broadcast" of Rock in Rio Lisbon is called SIC. They usually broadcast in sub-channel of SIC called "SIC Radical". Yet, the final decision is upon to The Rolling Stones... If they authorize, there will be a 99% of sure that it will be broadcast in that channel ><

QuoteHis Majesty Yes, but he's forgotten that Jack, according to Mick in 1967, plays the piano, so maybe he forget that Bill plays bass as well etc. There is no guitar on it. Indeed I wished that we know more about the Aftermath/BTB sessions...

QuoteHis Majesty QuoteBJPortugal She Smiled Sweetly(missing Brian and Bill) It's possible that isn't true. Well, my assertion is based on Keith words: I had forgotten how hauntingly nice that is. We did it in two takes and I played bass, organ, guitar, and piano on it. Charlie played drums and Mick sang it. It was just the three of us. And suddenly that came back to me (while we
