You don't have to work in Heaven, which means you don't get paid, which means nobody will offer Mick and Keith enough to do anything.

I was there in Columbus, and everybody was on fire that night. I've got a really poor VHS boot of Hartford CT, and it's also an excellent show. I remember hearing about that San Jose dvd release at the time and wanting it so bad, but in the end broke down and got the vhs boot. I can't remember the name of the show, but I've posted the YouTube link on here before. It was a

QuoteRolling Hansie Quotecorriecas charlie said they wont do anything anymore. Really ? Yeah. Really? I guess your referencing that alleged interview that had its own thread where Charlie supposedly said Keith almost quit playing guitar in the middle of the ABB Tour cause of his fingers. I thought that turned out to be a fake. I'm so confused. All the officially printed interviews

QuoteRocky Dijon This is just speculation on the part of the radio station. As far as we know Mick and Dave Stewart are continuing to tinker with their Nokia project. It's not a solo album. It's not even going to be a commercially released CD. It's content exclusive to Nokia as a promotional gimmick. As for the Stones, as far as we know we're getting half a dozen previousl

Quotetreaclefingers Quotejp.M ...I don't see songs which "suck" in the 90's or other decades...only some are better than others..!!!! Back to Zero, Hold Back (Don't Hold Back?...I get mixed up), Winning Ugly??? And that's just from one album. It's ok to have a favourite band that has songs that suck. I think that 1986 might be considered the 80'

Quotescottkeef The opinion here on Dirty Work is exactly how I feel about Undercover. Ghastly album... What a relief to hear somebody agree with me. I cringe everytime somebody says 'best this or that since Undercover'. Terrible album except for a couple of songs.

I've also been saying it since 2002. I don't really get the feminine comments. I don't see it. A lot less androgynous than Jagger at any age, not that there's anything wrong with that. Well, I don't know. There is that White Stripes cover of "Jolene" by Dolly Parton. Anyway, back to the subject, if you don't understand all the fuss about Jack White, l

QuoteEddieByword QuoteBraincapers QuoteJuanTCB Not a chance. Outside of this board, I've never heard or read a single negative thing about LIFE. I agree. Not everybody here is pissed of with Keith or disliked Life (I loved it) but even if we did we'd only make up a really small proportion of the audience at any stones gig.I appreciate not everyone by any means took exception and many

QuoteStoneage I don't think that he is 1.75 m, rather between 1.72-1.74 m. By the way, one feet is approx 30.5 cm (0.35 m). I don't know why the Brits and Americans have stayed with old measure systems. Cause America wants no foreign rulers.

QuoteNatlanta not 'enhanced'... standard Nike air max shoe. dude is not heightening. Well then Keith, Charlie, and Ronnie have all contracted some rare shrinking disease at the exact same time, cause they used to be very similar in height, now they look like Mick's fourteen-year-old sons.

That yahoo news link I posted is just for the picture. I'm too dumb to figure out how to just post the picture apparently. The top of Keith's head is right at Mick's nose. A few years ago they were about the same height. It just amazes me. His shoes don't look that tall. Maybe a two inch sole and an equal size lifter inside the shoe.

I know this is an old subject, but it never ceases to amaze me. I swear he looks like he's gained four inches in height. Anybody met him before and after, up close enough to judge his height?

QuoteRip This ...."Just want To see His Face"....could just as well be about wanting/needing to see a drug dealer...." Except that that line is proceeded by "don't wanna talk about Jesus". Not a common name for drug dealers. I have read at least one interview with Mick where he stated his belief in God, but said he had no specific religious associations. Keit

It won't happen, but how cool of a tour announcement would it be if they performed the Solomon Burke tribute and announced a two year tour on the show!

Did anybody else miss these tracks? It's sad to hear someone butcher a review so badly with so many great writers and critics on here. This is from the Hartford Advocate. Keith's home state: Watched “Ladies and Gentlemen: the Rolling Stones” -- the concert film, live in Texas, from the Exile tour in 1972, the other night. (It’s just recently available on Netflix, and I’ve hear

Quote71Tele I am willing to suspend judgment and look forward to what might be an interesting doc. Stones have blown it in this area because of Mick's (mostly) fear/dislike of looking back. We still don't have a really good career retrospective about the Stones on film, and the recent Exile dvd was not what it could have been, wasting precious minutes on contemporary nobodies pontificat

I would absolutely love it. I think he'd be great. I've asked this question numerous times with no reply, but I think I'll try again. Did y'all really think Keith's playing was bad on the first part of the ABB Tour? 2005 and early 2006? I saw two shows and thought it was business as usual, in a good way. He got seriously injured and went back to work too quick cause

The majority of the top hit singles of the 60's and 70's were also pop fluff really, weren't they? Sugar Sugar, you are my candy girl. Yummy Yummy Yummy I've got love in my tummy. I thought rock music was becoming MORE mainstream since Guitar Hero and Rock Band swept the world of video gaming. Wal-Mart sells Stones, AC/DC, and Hendrix t-shirts.

Quotejagger50 Where´s a good starting point for an Elvis collection? Not much out there RS wise I don´t have. Thanks. The Sun Sessions, The Memphis Record, and a fifties greatest hits package. One Night is the best track ever. Also, an out of print one from the late 90s called Rhythm and Country, recorded at Stax.

Very interesting, I thought. They never do guest spots like this unless they're recording already (not with Bill thought, I don't think).

QuoteCome On Dirty work is not much worser than Undercover, just slightly... Good! I'm glad to hear some negativity about Undercover. I think it's about their worst record. I like She Was Hot, The Pain of Love, and...All The Way Down is okay. Terrible production. I always liked the music on Dirty Work. Well just the guitars and some of the bass. The drum sound is really 80s, an

Quotebianca It's a disgrace that a man that age is playing guitar in front of a paying audience. The only reason he is doing it is because someone who wants to make money is forcing his hand. I have never seen the man but I can guarantee you that at that age he is not a capable player, anymore. More like a freak show. Attention Keith and Mick: watch and learn. Hang it up with dig
