Someone sent me this off some Phoenix news site... Rolling Stones Week on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Will Commemorate Exile Reissue In case you haven't heard, The Rolling Stones are preparing to reissue their iconic 1972 album Exile on Main Street this May. There will be original remastered tracks as well as 10 unheard new tracks available. This has gotten plenty of people excited

On the four flicks dvd, don't they say it's the same plane as 1972? I'm pretty sure. Watch disc one, the documentary.

Good point! How could Sticky Fingers or Exile be better?!! More lead guitar would just turn them into SRV albums in my opinion. Wasn't it Keith Richards that said something about knowing when not to play for the benefit of a song is a rare talent. I agree. It's all about the spaces in between. Nothing against Stevie Ray, don't get me wrong. And why would it take a diplomat t

It's pretty likely Bill didn't play bass on the outtakes anyway. If I remember correctly he was absent on a good portion of the Exile songs. Keith, Mick Taylor, and Bill Plummer did about half of the bass lines.

I know it doesn't really sound like Mick and Keith's style, but I wonder if they are pushing this whole deluxe edition Exile to make Mick Taylor a little money, in light of the article a few months ago about him being in bad shape financially. It's a nice thought.

SIR MICK JAGGER and former ROLLING STONES star MICK TAYLOR have reunited in the studio - 36 years after the guitarist left the group. Taylor joined the rockers in 1969, replacing Brian Jones in the line-up, but he left the group five years later in 1974 after allegedly falling out with Jagger and guitarist Keith Richards. But now the musician, who was replaced by Ronnie Wood in the 1970s,

Spellcheck is such a useful tool. The Stones never got a grammy til Voodoo Lounge did they?

I sometimes get confused reading these messages. Is this some kind of Rolling Stones hate site disguised as a fan site. WTF? If you are really so disgusted with Mick, Keith, and the whole concept of The Rolling Stones get in your little time machine and go back to 1972. It's all any of you want is nostalgia. But when you get it, you still ain't happy. I hope Non-Filters fans aren&

Jack White! Yes! Get rid of all the pop sound and get some dirty blues. Would be one helluva Stones record. Keith hinted at it. Jack White or Tom Waits. Either one, I don't care.

Charlie has stated that he was offended that he didn't get to play on 'Take It So Hard'. I think this album has more feel than any Stones record for a long time before it. I would love to hear all of these with Charlie drumming, and a lot of them with Mick singing. Problem is, it would have been even close to what it is with Mick on it. Mick seems to bring polish and structure

If Brian had lived, he would not have been interested in much the band did, except Moonlight Mile. Would not have been interested at all in Brown Sugar or Can't You Hear Me Knocking. I think he might have been in a similar supergroup to The Travelling Wilburys, but with John Lennon, Neil Young, Phil Everly, and Rod Stewart.

That's a fascinating bass line. Not what I'd come up with for what's already a very original guitar riff. He's really all over the place. I love his bass playing. I remember an interview with Darrel Jones when he first started about him asking Ronnie for advice on what to play. Ronnie Wood is a very underestimated musician. Listen to his bass line on 'Maggie May

Which song? Which part? Both on most of them. And I don't think it has to be prearthritis. 'Dangerous Beauty' has a bad ass short bluesy solo by Keith. It was the first musical passage that really got my attention on Bigger Bang except for 'Rough Justice' and his beautiful weaving with his own multiple guitars on 'This Place is Empty'. What about those bea

I think 'Being Mick' and the greatest hits collection that sold like a coupla thousand copies were the final nails in Mick's solo musical career's coffin. I would not go see him solo. I feel bad for it. I dearly love him with the stones but I cringe when he tries it solo. Except for Wandering Spirit. Beautiful. Shoulda done it with The Stones and without Handsome Molly.

Mick and Keith should produce it themselves or get Jack White or Tom Waits. Don't let Matt Clifford anywhere near the studio. Forget about having a song in the top forty cause it won't happen anyway. Just let go and be The Rolling Stones.

Well I'm a younger fan and I want a new tour, but not without a new album. But I'd also love an official release of Ladies and Gentlemen. I'm not putting down the modern day Stones in any way. I see a lot of younger bands and The Stones are still my best show. Hope Jack White produces the new album like Keith hinted at.

Something tells me that they don't want to become relics, but furthermore don't want to compete with the 1972 Stones.

Ya know, I'm sick of hearing everyone worry about Keith. He is the Stones really. He and Jagger are still deciding who's Mom and who's Pop. He is not some feeble old character that Mick props up to sell out concerts. My last show was Churchill Downs in 06, after the tree. You know what, Keith wasn't there. But you know what else. He had major head surgery, almost died s
