QuoteHis Majesty Brian is not really on the studio version and I don't moan about that. If the half hearted strummed acoustic part seen in One Plus One is all he had to offer they chose right in not including it. >< Anyway, Brian made up for his absence on the following track on Beggars Banquet. spot on ! i love brians work on the live shows ( seen on youtube videos etc and tha

QuoteHis Majesty QuoteErik_Snow Duh....if that was your point, nobody here would have disagreed with you. Erm, in a round about way some have. My other point that the studio version is the definitive version was already laid out nice and clear. It is the fully integrated reading of the song. On Ya Ya's the song mostly acts as a mere vehicle to showcase and highlight some nice gu

Wilbur Smith - the golden fox ( i believe its called) the whole first chapter is set during hyde park 69 . from memory the main characters are front and back stage and it describes the eulogy and the butterflies and honky as the first song , well who would know im yours shes mine ,she yours (or whatever).

Quotestonesdan60 QuotePalace Revolution 2000 If the 'Bitch' solo is Taylor I hand in my resignation. That solo bears every element of what makes Keith's style so recognizable. I remember when IORR first came out and I had not yet heard ANY of the tracks, I turned on the radio and heard some cool sound with no vocals to help identify what band it was but I instantly knew it had to

What the hell is going on here? LOL, Jagger looks so ridiculous here. Poor guy. I think Keith must have remained impassive on purpose. They all knew they were lost. including DJ. QuoteStonesTod QuoteErik_Snow QuoteStonesTod QuoteErik_Snow QuoteStonesTod QuoteErik_Snow I didn't get to see the movie in Cinema, as it didn't run here. And the sound of my TV set is not good. But concerning the CD.....yes indeed, as pointed out, the bootleg feature a quite more rocking mix - and is better. It seems to be the policy of official labels - to mix live recordings like if t

Quoteterraplane It's great but a little busy for me. I have always thought his guitar on SFM was the highlight of that album. What a tone, incredible vibrato. that is the greatness of ya-ya's , its got so many highlights and outstanding guitarparts of both keith and mick, there is something for everyone !

QuoteNaturalust Quoteopen-g There's a looooong and detailed thread (31 pages) about the guitar if anyone is interested. That was quite a thread ther open-g. I am a sucker for Les Pauls and had to read the whole damn thing. Got to get to the 21st page to find out whether or not it's even Peter's old '54 Custom. Thanks for the link I enjoyed it. Quotebuffalo7478 QuoteChrisM Not boring at all. The Stones reworked alot of their songs for the '69 and having a crackin' new guitarist to play with them gave the songs a new life. They became a new band in 1969 and Mick helped them to to do so... I agree with you ChrisM. They were expanding songs, jamming things out and taking some chances. I love the sound and the result that foll

QuoteGazza This is meant to be the greatest rock n roll band in the world. A band with that reputation should have high standards. How low have expectations sunk that fans think should be scraping around for 40 year old songs? They're not THAT bereft of ideas (and Jagger's lyrics on the Exile and Some Girls bonus songs suggest he's not quite out of inspiration yet) If people ar

QuoteNoCode0680 It's not rare or anything, but my favorite pic of Taylor, and the whole band for that matter, has always been the one from Sticky Fingers. They just look happy, except for sleepy-head Mick Jagger. well it is early , bill is having his breakfast !
