I dont like the Greek Theatre outside the A section. I wont spend more than $5-10 to sit in the terraces for anybody. I would pick Long Beach Arena unless I could arrange for a private gig at Spaceland in Silver Lake.

I saw this in a movie theatre on the wide screen when it first came out. I was about 9 years old. Its what turned me into a Stones addict. They became a lot more than just songs I heard on the radio or a record on the turntable. My mom took me, my little sister and stepsister.

This place is absolutely unsuitable for a rock concert. I am right down the street and likely skipping these shows. Its a massive 18,000 outdoor ampthitheatre smack dab in the middle of a (high cost) residential neighborhood. There are severe noise restrictions so if you are in the back, all the bored people talking around you will drown out the music. Gawd forbid there is any wind going in the o

"Outside the PNC Park show was flooded with scalpers dumping $420 tickets for $50. It's a gamble...but they like it." Chances are the scalpers paid even less than $50 for those tickets from the original buyer. Your average street scalper, at least around here, will not wait in line to spend hundreds on tickets to try to move at a profit. They buy them in parking lot, way below f

If I don't get a sufficient offer on my Fresno ticket, my friend is going to make a movie of me lighting the ticket on fire. He is a film school student. He has already offered me $20 to make this film. So any offers for the ticket must be a bit more than $20. Probably a lot more because I am already looking forward to my acting debut.

Make your own board and say whatever the hell you want there. And buy my Fresno ticket that I am not getting a refund on because Keith is still alive.

I was under the impression this is a brand new building with the same name. Hence there is no "tradition and history" to speak of. Or as Gazza said, no dates have been announced for Europe for the stadium cannot announce the concert. Its also possible they have a better offer at a different venue or due to routing reasons they cannot be the first concert. Its my own personal opinion tha

We know the first show ever held at a brand new stadium would just have to have perfect logistics and sound with no rough spots whatsoever.

The Stones need to put this guy on the payroll so the next time Mick gets a cold they dont have to cancel the show.

Ohnonotyouagain, that was hilarious! I saw some band once called the Riverdogs. Vivian Campbell (bounced around a few metal bands in 80's) was their guitar player. At the gig I noticed Vivian wasnt there. So the whole show I kept yelling "WHere's Vivian!" Finally the singer said right from the stage "He isnt here anymore, we change band members, if you aren't carefu

It would be the perfect opener. Especially if I am still in the parking lot trying to get a ticket. Or they can close with it so I can try to beat traffic, only to get boxed in by all the other people who also thought it was the perfect time to leave.

Now that he have most approachable and least approachable about of the way... I am sure rock stars talk amongst themselves the same way about all the @#$%& fans they have encounted. Who here is the biggest @#$%& when they encounter a rock star or celebrity? I will share two stories when I acted like an @#$%& in the presence of a celebrity. Once I was browsing Virgin Megastore, and Tom Petersson o

I regret not hopping on a plane to Oakland 11/12/02, which was briefly considered. And 9/25/97 WAS much better than 9/23/97. They just played better regardless of the 2 setlist changes.

Blackie Lawless was okay and signed for me at the Foundations Forum convention 93ish. This most recent tour he blew off a few shows, actually collected the deposit then refused to play. He was generating a lot of ill will at clubs across the country, not the kind of way someone who can only sell a few hundred tickets should be acting.

Gene Simmons never refused to sign for me. He acts like a dick but I think he gets a kick out acting that way so I didn't take it personally. I think the last guy I asked for an autograph was Andy Summers. He signed a flyer for me after one of his gigs which I mailed off to a guy who was a bigger fan than me. Sometimes I get entertained by watching the hounds and the stars interact but usual

Apparently some old school taper offered to send him a verifiably ("Hello Metropolis...") mint copy of 1 song from an uncirculated show for the DVD but never even got a reply yet offered to send him cash money from another email account. The email account offering cash got the reply but the email account offering the one mint song never got a reply. He neither got cash nor the song. I h

I dont really approach anyone anymore but Kim Deal/Kelley Deal/Josephine Wiggs of the Breeders were very nice and friendly, and also have perfectly legible and lovely signatures. Joey Ramone/Johnny Ramone both very cool. RIP, miss you guys. Actually I think Michael Cohl pioneered this form of concert promotion with the Steel Wheels and it was later co-opted by Clear Channel for most concert acts. Some people say its a case of supply and demand but when I hear how much the $450 tickets are going for in the parking lot, it sounds like the seats were never really *worth* that much to begin with. Part of the reason the Motley Cr
