When the Rolling Stones and Metallica play a stadium show together and its over by 10:45pm, should they even bother having an opening act at all? (Forgetting the point that Metallica was brought in to sell tickets)

There are numerous sources of the gigs at the Bowl. And there are other mitigating factors rather than merely equipment used like seat location which would be especially relevant at a venue like the Bowl. "In my opinion,if you´re going to record a show, you should prepare well, and have good equipments. Why bother otherwise? It isn´t easiest thing to do.So its better go all the way?,righ

Judging from all the people sitting down in my section during YCAGWYW, I think the show should be 18 songs TOPS with no encore

To them, their legacy is their bank account. I am sure they see things quite differently than the rest of us.

Ferrante - you were right, Anaheim was a totally lame crowd. I still enjoyed myself, it was almost like a $20 drive in movie. Just go inside and watch the video screens. I think you would like it better in an arena. I have super cheap Fresno tickets if anyone is interested.

Thats still too much to pay for a concert, Metallica or no Metallica. I would still pay around $100 if this concert came to my neighborhood though, just for the novelty aspect. Especially today when its going to obviously be a Metallica crowd.

I paid $20 for my upper deck ticket and LOVED it! If you paid $450 and didn't like it, thats YOUR problem.

I heard Streets Of Love on the local NPR affiliate once before the album came out, and 95.5 KLOS has been playing a lot. Not just the RJ and SOL but Rain Come Down, Look What The Cat Dragged In and probably a few others. And I hardly ever listen to the radio, usually just when I come home for lunch or digging around for CDs

I'd pay $50. But thats just me. Ticketmaster has stuff better than that off and on, but for $400+ each.

I was up in the upper deck. The show was okay. some groups of people were into it, others werent. Even though hardly anything for tickets were available on Ticketmaster the last several months, there were hundreds if not thousands of empty seats. Probably held back for Ameriquest employees who never showed up.

"I hope they improved the sound though." Some people say yes. However I was there 3 times recently and it STILL wasn't loud enough. Lets hope there is no wind.

Probably mom. Rock N Roll was always a way of life around the house, but it was mom taking me and my sisters to see Lets Spend The Night Together that made the Stones more than just another catchy song on the radio.
