Those Terrace boxes look claustrophobia inducing to me. I scored a pair in F2 for Queen/Paul Rodgers for $99 cents plus $14.95 Fed Ex from a broker off Ebay. Couldnt even get rid of the extra so I traded the pair for a single 10 feet in front of me then snuck forward 13 rows. Stones I plan on just listening from outside unless I score a real deal because the sound there leaves a lot to be desired

Personally I have seen the Stones so many times I don't care if I see them again or not. I have no problem just drinking beer in the parking lot if a cheapie doesn't come my way. But the great thing about die hard fans is that they are easier to take advantage of.

Thats the one advantage to high ticket prices - unless its first few rows the value starts dropping immedietly. I have been mostly paying $5-10 for tickets all year. Got into John Cale at UCLA last night for $10.

"On a side note, I can't believe the tour dates Bon Jovi have announced. They're playing multiple shows in many cities. I believe they've announced 3 shows at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto! I didn't think they could sell out 1 show!" Demographics - with all the fat chicks Bon Jovi gigs draw, they are playing to reduced capacity arenas. I saw Motley Crue at

If they want to sell out Hockenheim, they get AC/DC or Metallica to open. BV - you need a Fresno ticket?

"This system seems to be the normal procedure at club gigs for the Stones so why not use it at stadium shows as well?" One of the dirty secrets of bands with a lot of tickets to sell and high maximum purchase amounts is that they turn the fans into surrogate Ticketmasters by putting the burden of unloading excess tickets on the fans (who try to sell to friends, relatives etc before t

"If the Stones do have a weakeness, they pulled a masterstroke in using The Mutley Crew to cover it up." PLenty of weaknesses judging from recent boots I've heard "As for rock'n'roll being about escapism.Come on,I thought it was about the music." Maybe if you are into Yes.

"girls girls girls, wow what genius lyrics,i guess we will never mistake motley crue for bob dylan when it comes to song writing will we" I prefer Motley Crue to boring "geniuses" like Bob Dylan. If somebody is a "genius" go write a book or teach a class and let someone else rock me.

"It makes me sick that these no talent fools get to open for the stones its bad enough they get to meet them, much less open, its a disgrace" How do you know they get to meet them? I guess someone thought they were worthy enough to open. You can like it or you can suck on it.

"It just seems suspicious to me that every recent 1981 soundboard that has surfaced has these cuts." Recorded on cassette and tapes flipped mid song? Tape runs out, whoever is recording is busy and doesn't catch it until the end of Tumbling Dice?

I only tape for myself. I do let things out from time to time, but not everything. I do have a moderate quality new source BTB show but I think I think I will hang on to it until someone fills another request I placed on this board recently.

I saw John Cale of the Velvet Underground at the Sunset Junction Street Fair a few months ago. He opened with what should have been Severin but was plagued by constant and pervasive PA problems which effectively ruined the gig. It might have been a great performance but I just couldn't tell. Lets hope tonights in store gig is better.

I might go to more than I originally planned on in May but only because Ebay prices are plummeting.

I might go to 1 stadium show in the U.S. Will pay $20 for upper deck, $60 for floor or $99 for first few rows. Otherwise I can hear just fine outside. Probably see the after show fireworks better too,

The Neil Young 1996 show at the Forum was a little boring. Seemed like he was jamming in a bar and just didn't reach the upper deck. It was mostly a greatest hits set. Ending with Dangerbird was awesome though.

"Oh, so now people who can't afford $450 tickets are "life's losers"? That's real rock'n'roll spirit." I will be trying for parking lot cheapies for a couple shows and have $60 for 2 shows but I have been to over 500 shows (Stones 23 times) and NEVER seen a concert that was worth that kind of money. Merely affording it or not has nothing to with it.

"As I remember, Greendale was sold and packaged as Greendale on stage, not a warhorse tour. Neil did the warhorse tour two years previous. He's not a jukebox." I dont remember how the gig was sold and packaged, I got the $5 GetAccess tix off EBay, already saw the setlist and knowing Neil not being a jukebox, decided to go and give it a try anyway. It was still boring. Thought it

Whenever I end up making out, if there is music playing I don't hear it. Not going to bust the mood by digging thru my CD's looking for the "right" song either.

Neil Young San Diego Sports Arena 9/20/03 on the Greendale tour. The first few songs were good but then it got really boring, I actually fell asleep for awhile until the encore. I saw KISS on the reunion tour and the so called farewell tour and it was pretty boring too (though not even close to the "worst") The non makeup tours in 1990 and 1992 were actually much better. Not really, but high ticket prices and a gig addiction has caused plenty of hard times.

I saw them in March at the Forum. Not a great band by a long shot, but I love their first album and its still a helluva fun show. I really wish I could make it up there but opted to save myself $800+ and go see Judas Priest/Anthrax locally instead. And to answer the question why this tour was a success? Mostly due to Nikki Sixx's brilliant marketing. Another tour has been considered for

Sec K3 row 3 for tonight at the Hollywood Bowl, trade single ticket plus maybe cash for a Stones ticket for Anaheim, Hollywood or San Diego. This offer is only open for a few hours, obviously, gonna probably hit the parking lot with the extra or trade the pair up but figure a trade would be worth a shot anyway, just in case. I live in Burbank, real close to the Bowl. Other non Stones ticket offer

Please tape Motley Crue. Oct 30 is my birthday and I almost planned to hit the Seattle show. Its a great double bill for me. I have tons of DVDs or recent DAT masters by Nine Inch Nails, Oasis, New York Dolls, Rilo Kiley, Solomon Burke, DKTMC5 and stuff I am probably not even remembering right now.

BV - the Forum is just another old dump arena, its just not as bad as the newer places since there are no skyboxes between the upper and lower level. Actually its all one big level with just an aisle separating upper and lower. You aren't really missing much, it isn't really all that legendary.

I dont like the Greek Theatre outside the A section. I wont spend more than $5-10 to sit in the terraces for anybody. I would pick Long Beach Arena unless I could arrange for a private gig at Spaceland in Silver Lake.
