"I can't really see them putting together another world tour in 3 years when they're all 65 years old. It simply ain't gonna happen." If they are alive and the money is right it will happen. It doesnt matter if its good or not, it only matters if you buy tickets and the band gets paid.

"are you really going to compare the crue to the stones, i mean really man give it up and stop acting the fool" You are the one who is playing the fool. If you don't like the opening band keep your stupid ass outside with all the other senior citizens and let the rest of us enjoy ourselves for an extra hour.

"Ummmm........yes! The armchair fan brigade got their panties in a twist over something that didn't affect them." Having a well known, formidable act brought in to help sell tickets seems to have affected them a lot worse than I could ever imagine.

No one cares. I hear new stuff whenever I listen to KLOS 95.5 which isnt even all that often and I heard Streets Of Love on the local NPR affiliate even before the album came out.

"rumours of a lot of folks sitting down bored shitless are circulating too" A review I read said folks were sitting down bored shitless all the way the Stones. Sad the types of people they draw these days. Its not even like a rock concert anymore.

Thanks to all around high ticket prices, you don't have to play to full arenas to make a killing on the road anymore. I get Pollstar magazine, they are definitely raking in the big bucks whether the gig is a sellout or not.

"they broke up because of low ticket sales, case closed, when that happens its over, as i said they are only doing OK on this tour because its a reunion hat is it , say what you want bayou" Yeah like thats all it takes to sell tickets, just call it a reunion tour. You obviously know very little about market dynamics in the concert industry. Actually they saturated the market 97-0

"Why don't you post something pertinent, like what you thought about The Stones last night?" This thread is about the Motley Crue set, you can find plenty of Stones reviews in the review section or all over this board. Even someone as dense as you should be able to figure that out.

"So... how Stones friendly were the Crue back in the day? Back when Eighties hair metal was pissing on the Stones as fossils???" You're the expert. Why don't you tell us?

"And why does suddenly everybody cares so much about the Crüe? Funny..." People are getting worried. A band with its own large fan base who people actually pay to see (by the thousands) are opening for the Stones and sure to give them a run for the money if not totally outshine them on their own stage.

"obviously that bit about the Leps was tongue in cheek but there may be people out there that actually think you do like Def Leppard. just warning you!" If I take the train to San Diego Nov 11, my friend will drive me home on Nov 12 and we will stop off in Irvine to see if we can score cheap tickets to Def Leppard/Bryan Adams. But I love the first few Def Leppard albums. They were a

I know Hanoi Rocks isn't a hair metal band. Hair metal is actually a derogatory term so I doubt any of the bands listed above would appreciate being referred to as such. And Rene Berg is awesome!

I like Motley Crue (first two albums than scattered songs off rest of albums and even like the '94 album with John Corabi which is as far from hair metal as you can get) Faster Pussycat (Got your number off the Bathroom Wall!) Poison is okay, didnt really like them back in the day but got free tix 2 years in a row recently and it was decent Def Leppard - if they were all kille

"It cracks me up how people get so riled up over a support band!" I like Motley Crue and don't really think they can blow the Stones away but it seems to be a deep fear among the most vocal detractors. It will be very interesting to hear what happens in Seattle and Portland.

"If you check British magazines, you see that tyhey know what they have over there. But also that this band plays by their own rules. I don't understand why they do not tour in a big way over here in USA. It;s like they don't eveb care. " No airplay and most attempts at touring they do at a loss. So they just do LA and NY and maybe a few in between if we are lucky. However
