I was there and enjoyed it all. Someone here wrote that Tampa was better, but I can't agree. Tampa offered Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo, but the band didn't go together well, in my opinion. Bye, Luca

According to Stanley Booth's book, 'Loving Cup' was also played and recorded during the Muscle Shoals sessions and this would explain why this song was copyrighted by ABKCO Records, initially. He also writes that the song never sounded that well again. I'm afraid we miss a true masterpiece, if so...

Silkcut, your great list confirms what I always tell to collectors: collecting the Rolling Stones is and endless adventure! As soon as I can, I will check my German 'Darkly', but I'm pretty sure they're no more than five or six. As a final result, we might dare to say that no non-dashed White-corner covers seem to exist. All the best, Luca

I confirm my has copy has black dashes marking the line you follow when cutting the cover to get an octagonal cover. As far as I remember, I've never seen a copy with white corners and no dashes. Bye, Luca

The German square 'Through the Past, Darkly' was often seen at Italian records fairs, long ago. Nowadays, I think it's not so easy to find. To be precise, my copy has: . cat. number on rear cover sports an additional -EX that was dismissed onto the definitive covers . this square cover is not fold-open, in opposition to the well-known final one and has white spine . rear cover

Treaclefingers, thanks to www.stonesondecca.com and my personal collection the British discography is not problem to me. The US is not so. Sometimes, it's not easy telling a first press from a second or a third one and that's the reason why I've started studing LONDON albums. Once again, the answer is onto the dead wax and not on labels. The off-groove data let us know a lot, if y

I would like to because I only miss two albums pressed by Monarch Records: Satanic stereo Big Hits vol. 2 You can tell a Monarch album by their trademarks onto dead vinyl: MR, triangle (aka delta), identical job number for A and B side except for an additional X added to tell the B side I've never came across them and I'm wondering if Monarch actually pressed them. Thanks, Luca

Created in spring/summer 1973, it was first in use - both sides of Atlantic - for the 'Goat's Head Soup'-related issues. While in the USA Promotone BV is always present onto labels, all my original British 'It's Only Rock and Roll'-related records miss Promotone BV, as copyright controller on labels. On top of that, some of my Bitish Kinney distributed 'Sticky

It's not the only Amis' piece on the Rolling Stones. In his book that, in Italian, is entitled 'Esperienza' (Experience) talking about his Christmastime in 1970 he writes about listening 'Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out' for the first time, togheter with his brother, and how they were impressed by 'Stray Cat Blues'live version. Great writer, fantastic descriptio
