I can understand that most bands who cover it love SFTD and want to pay their respects but I think SFTD is best left uncovered. It is a rather special song with a Samba rhythm and is not metal and not really rock either. When the delicate yet powerful structure is buried under layers of squealing distortion, the essence is lost. Sometimes less is more.

Bands haven't been allowed to "craft" albums for years. The music industry lost patience with artists taking years to knock out some average material which sold poorly and cost the company dearly.
