Nice way to get a complete record Matt !! And very nice to see an interesting record post in a looong time here. A few comments from my side on this legendary album. For sure the UK RSM.1 was printed in 200 copies only. That we can confirm based on the Decca letter that can be found with some of the records. Interesting is that I have heard that a few more that 200 covers were made but th

Quotetreaclefingers I'd like to thank deardoctortake1 for sending me the images he has for his versions of ENHM. So...the plot thickens. deardoctor believes the Maroon version with the Recorded in Europe on the records, unboxed London label, is the first version. According to Stones on Decca, it is the FFRR Made in England RED, Boxed London label. And I still cannot find the versio

I could say a few words as well. I'm Jan from Vasa in Finland. My age is depending a bit on when (what year) you read this. Easier to say that I was born on the same year that the Stones did their first ever gig. My first gig was in Göteborg August 1990, Last so far is in the city that I always spell wrongly so it is easier to say that is was in Poland in 2018. In total 32 gigs so far

The "virgin vinyl" was new fresh vinyl in "puck" that they put in the pressing machine. You can see from some old videos on you-tube that when pressing the puck into a record, you will have som surplus material coming out and then cut loose by a cutting edge. This surplus waste material was not thrown in the garbage bin but melted down again and reused for "pop records&qu

QuoteRicky Jan is a nice guy and his website is amazing for all the UK Decca album collectors. I hope he finds time one day to finish the 70s compilations and especially Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out. Thanx guys!! Ricky, the Ya Ya's page is almost done. I will publish it in a week or two. Then on to the rest of the 70's Decca compilations. There are not that much exiting versions on th

Interesting set of logos "exilestones" Not only has the logo changed a lot through the years but you can find so many different labels as well. I have not only collected Stones on Decca but a lot of other music on UK Decca. The labels can also sometimes be connected to a production process, just like the Phase 4 Stereo mentioned above. One thing that I had wondered about for years i

Quotesf37 I'd also be curious to know if Mick Taylor ever met Brian. If they had met surrounding Brian's dismissal, I could imagine it would have been a rather awkward exchange, given the circumstances.... I once asked Mick Taylor if he ever met Brian and he replied "No".

Ohh. So sad to get this information. I was communicating with him through mails and phonecalls for a number of years. He had one of the largest Stones vinyl collections ever. He also contributed with knowledge and picturesto my stones on decca page. He was an active poster here as well RIP my friend

Decca had nothing to do whit recording music by the band. Decca did not do any recordings of Rolling Stones. The band recorded always in independent studios and just delivered the ready mixed tape to Decca who pressed records.

Quoteswitchblade1975 I do not have a pic of my car but when I was 19 in 1977 I had a 1967 plymouth gtx with a 426 hemi 4 speed,I miss that car. Woow, one of my all time favorite cars ever made!!! The problem with blogs or fb groups or net pages dedicated to a very narrow part of any hobby will struggle to stay alive in the long run. There are just not enough of people who cares and are willing to participate actively in discussions and contribute with data. Take this IORR site for example. Can’t remember how many individual visitors BV has on a yearly basis, he told me once but can’t r

Hi. The forum is pretty much dead. No one has been posting anything there for a few years now. We had a good thing going on about ten years back with many high profile collectors posting interesting stuff. But people moved on to other forums and the traffic died out. Sad.

Looking at the Wild Horses clip.... woooh. Every second dude is filming with his mobile. This just gotta stop. Where is the rock and roll feeling???? No one goes out to have a great time anymore, they are there to document the happening to show off to their working buddies on Monday, look what I saw on Friday....

Quote1963luca0 To Jan Just a little example right to better shape what I mean when talking about 'complete' collections... got right now a genuine British export Satanic fully covered up for Portugal. Maybe you consider this a minor entry, but I'm glad ti add this wonderful brick to our ever growing wall. Let's keep on Rolling! Luca, we seams to have different definitions o

Yes Luca. If you take all possible small differences in the sleeves and all small details in the labels into "the complete collection" consept, then it is mission impossible. That is why i do not take these differences into count. Everybody can define the complete collection as they like and i have my definition

Quote1963luca0 Jan, I wonder how can one say he has a 'complete' collection, actually. Bye, Luca Luca, it depends very much on how you define a "complete collection" My defenition would be: LPs pressed in Uk by Decca Record Company on Decca and London labels Mono and stereo Non boxed logo and boxed logo If you have all combinations know of these criterias, then I could

An additional thing to notice on this copy now for sale: It has a sticker in the upper right corner on the back side telling that "Please refer to label for all copyright information" In addition to this you can see that all copyright info has a pen line over the text. This was done on a very few of the copies as it was discovered that UK and US had different copyright holders for th

QuoteDandelionPowderman I guess more than half of the 20 existing copies are owned by IORRers. I know a few who have this one in their collection, too So it is yes. I have documented about 15 of the signed ones and many of the owners are here on iorr. I have one of the signed one as well The condition of the records do have an impact on the price / value naturally. But then again, if you a
