ChrisM I bought one and love it. Michael Putland provides a nice text to acompany the photos..the photos cover the 70's and up to 86 as previously stated. I like the coverage of the IORR video shoot, and the some girls era plus the 100 club /82 pics are nice. Mostly black and white photos. The box presentation is pretty classy too. I do not think its as Good as the TOTA they put out a co

Didn't see the London show but was at the Southampton show on Friday. The show was superb. His material ranged from Mott right through - plenty of stuff from last two albums Rant and shrunken heads mixed in with old classics - great stuff and long may he continue to do it because he is a great songwriter and performer. Got to mention Jesse Mallin as well who was superb as the opener and real

Yes, I am in the Jet fan club , and have been for years...anyone heard Runaways live in Japan from 77- its a cracker, as were queens of noise and waiting for the night. Solo Joan does not disapoint either - never heard anything that I didnt like. Joan is touring the UK in November with Alice Cooper and Motorhead - should be a good one. New CD is 'sinner..havent heard it yet, but reviews ar

The docks area of Liverpool is well worth a visit..a lot of redevelopment work has gone on there ..head for the Tate Art Gallery signs and you will be right there. The Tate might be worth a visit right now as they have a peter blake pop art exhib on (SGT Pepper cover designer)..agree about the Liverpool Football museum, and stadium. For Beatles info and tours go to www.beatlestours.co.uk en

Nice thread Helter..here's some experiences related. I travel a lot through Heathrow, both Pre and Post 9/11. The place is, as Paulywaul says farcical at times. There is no consistency to the place..therefore you never quite know what will befall you at check-in time. Being very laid back by nature is helpful - it all just becomes funnier the more you see. Hand baggage tale.. Las

On Sunday I played 'ITS ALIVE' must be something like 27 tracks in less than an hour. Its Fantastic!! As are Rocket to Russia/ Leave Home etc. I lost interest a bit after 'end of the century' came out..but they certainly made a fantastic sound in 76-80.

Helter, I can re-assure you that you are not alone in being mystified. It is hard to think of a more talent-less individual anywhere on the planet than Victoria. But we are fond of making celebrities out of idiots in the UK. David himself is not too bad (although he is crap at taking penalties) Help is not at hand for this problem..you can only use avoidance tactics.

Steel wheels for me has not aged well with time. The outtakes cd is a revelation though, and as is often the case with the stones, I am left wondering what the hell they were thinking when you compare the watered down official album to what they had in the can.Current example of this being UNDER THE RADAR being left off BB! When SW first came out I thought it was pretty good, but maybe I was

I was very surprised how well Streets of Love came over live...much much better than the recording..saw them do this at Cardiff last year, and, I will admit I groaned inwardly when it started, but was blown away by not only the sound, and Mick'singing, but also by the positive crowd reaction to it. The same thing can be said about 'out of control'.The whole song and presentatio

Its sticky fingers, but is run close by Goats Head Soup. I have an affection too for emotional rescue - altough probably not thought of as a stones classic , I have always enjoyed listening to it..down in the hole, all about you..very nice indeed.
