''Marriane Faithfull over the Who????? Blimey!'' Yeah, I know I know, blame the TV Shedules..you get nothing or all at once..I was hoping they would not clash. Got a recording of the Who and I will watch it tonight..they sounded good .I thought Daltrey sang ok, and wont get fooled again - one of the best songs ever, and live its a killer.

Stooges set was one of the best gigs Ive seen, dynamite from beginning to end..also very very funny..I bet the security guys at the Front of stage love him. My daughter who did not like Iggy much started watching his set, and stayed transfixed for the next hour. I Didnt see Dame Shirley but hopefully a highlight show will be on. I watched the Who on and off - Marriane Faithfull was on the oth

I love Goats Head soup, but the most under-rated for me is Bridges to Babylon, which I did not like much for about 3 years. But, the more you play it the better it gets I think - the only thing on there I still dont really like is 'Anybody seen my baby'. BTB is an excellent record.

I think they will carry on..but no year long global treks anymore. Maybe a another couple of albums with a short tour to go with it. Charlie does not want it and Kieth and Ron may not be fit enough - so world tours are surely finished..but the Stones as a band - I doubt that they will stop anytime soon.

Keith get well, as long as it takes is all I can say. Stay well clear of all types of tree mate, and I hope to see you fit and well in Cardiff, where I expect to hear you say 'its good to be anywhere' all good wishes and prayers are with you.

I love Bowie's stuff right through from Space Oddity to Scary Monsters, and DD is my favorite of the lot- I remember saving up the cash as a kid to get it.Love that cover as well! I love every track on there. I read a story somewhere about the cover. Guy Peelaart, the artist, also did IORR, and Bowie had seen the stones painting even though iorr hadn't been released yet. He then got p

yes, special one was a bit patchy, CT97 was excellent- one of the best theyve done. the website seems ok now, but its just been updated, nothing much changes on it and the message board does not come close to this one.Used to post there - but I gave it up. Elmo, those album flats rick throws are not always KISS, he threw out CT97 in London at a small venue, and I was the lucky one! Its signed a

Elmo agree with you about CHeap Trick, a great great live band, going to see them play with Def Leppard in June here in UK- they have a strong following here, and that new cd sounds like a return to classic form, if the 3 songs on the bands website are anything to judge by. Dont know how there popularity is in the USA, but they never seem to get promoted right, always changing labels etc, they s

Lukester, perspective is the right word. My lady and I got a sharp lesson in what was and wasnt important when Charlie was born..I always said it was life-forming for her, and life-changing for us..never again did I feel the need to ask myself 'whats important'or 'whats my priority'..it all became crystal clear in next to no time at all. best wishes to all here who battle ill

bassplayer and everyone..what a great thread this is. Great that you posted it, and a great reaction from the board. Diabetes - my grandmother had it, and a close friend also. He deals with it all admirably really - he's only 16, partially deaf, but none of it gets the better of him. My daughter is 16 and suffers from Spina Bifida and Hydrocephulus. She had meningitis as a baby, and a bra

Roosterman, Agree with you about Let me down real slow. I would like to hear it played here England for sure , also BOMH, ONNYA, RJ,Rain fall down, under the radar, We dont wanna go home - thats 7 tracks which is about the number they ought to be playing if they take ABB seriously. I know Radar and Wanna go home are not strictly on ABB but they are great.

For me it is not aging well with time. I think its got some very average stuff on it. Love is strong is great. Brand new car, Blinded by Rainnbows and Through and through I like a lot too. But the rest I can take or leave and out of 15 thats a poor return. Better tracks left off (same with B. Bridges, which I at first didnt much care for, has gone the opposite way, and gets better with age, m

It is possible you maybe weird. But its good weird! Anyhow, you seem already to be way past the point of no return,so enjoy! My Mrs does not use the word 'weird' she just walks away muttering 'sad, sad, sad'. I said to her 'thats a great song'!! Are you also in the same situation as me in that you have so many cds and dvds that you have not actually even wa

Slade, Sweet, Ziggy Era Bowie, and Sex Pistols all did it for me before the Stones. But its funny - I bought some Pistols records on the same day my Dad picked up ROLLED GOLD- all in 1977 ..I never took too much notice of his taste in records until that day, but then he played 'Gimme Shelter'. From that day the STONES were the band, and it has never changed since that day and never will

It cannot be denied, pure pop brilliance over an incredible time span. I like the Bee Gees and although I didnt like the Sat night fever stuff when it was first about I quite like it now..early stuff is superb. Bee Gees remind me of Abba - it wasnt always cool to admit you liked them, but really you knew in your heart it was good stuff.

Elliot you are a lucky man! You must be rich! Or Maybe you were once rich, but are now bankrupt due to your Stones and Genesis Publications addictions!! Open G maybe TOTO stands for Tour of the Orient 75 and the Stones have in fact been touring Japan ever since they started. As loong as it doesnt stand for TOTO the band..blimey TOTO and Phil Collins, Id better stop now

drb yes it is signed by bowie and mick rock, but its cool also because of the sheer quality of production - different paper types for some of the photos, rare pics and bowies own account of the ziggy years. Its also a mighty size of a book - easily the biggest book I own and is by far the best book Ive ever seen on Bowie. Genesis did say they were going to follow up with another Bowie volume cov

Torn and frayed, when you get it please post your thoughts. I have a couple of Genesis books already and am scraping the cash together for TOTA, but its a long road to get £300 ish together for a book. I have 'pleased to meet you' and Moonage Daydream and have to say they are both very impressive..Moonage is worth the money paid, PTMY maybe not quite as good. The Exile book they did a

I also think it would make a good single. Its not a great stones song, but it is a catchy hook, and really all a single is good for these days is to attract attention to the album. WDWGH is also in tune with many peoples opinion of the stones (ie dont wanna grow up etc), and I think a little bit of percieved humour from the Stones in regard to this would connect with the people. It all does make

There is no need for the personal nature of the Whores abusive posts. We should ignore them, by simply not replying or quoting them. Cant deal with those sardines at all - I like those rolmopp? herrings though -i think thats a Swedish speciality. They sure taste a lot better in Sweden than they do here in the UK. Were pretty handy with the trout and smoked salmon though. Good dish - grilled tuna steak with ginger and soy sauce marinade +chillies. Well Ive FINished my post now..
