Many people are saying that in honor of the 40th anniversary of black and blue being released, they are going to do a gig where they play Black and Blue from start to finish.

I honestly feel that Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out is an album where every song is a masterpiece.

QuoteHMS QuoteHansman The only song I like from that album is Beast of Burden but even that version cannot touch Bette Midler's rendition of the song IMO. You are completely right about Bette Middler. Her versions of BOB is marvelous. BOB and Some Girls are the best songs on SG. But BOB is only outstanding because of the intro and the guitar work. Otherwise it´s - just like most songs on

Quotemaradona Quotecrholmstrom SFTD is painful. Makes me sad some. ...whereas Little T&A - a trainwreck when last performed back in Russia 2007 - was a refreshing and decent surprise in my opinion! How come Keith is doing so much better on a track he did not perform for nearly a decade while SFTD is constantly going down the drain these days?!?! because he's bored of it.

QuoteHairball QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotelatebloomer Quote24FPS Just didn't move me. Wyman's record was better. Really? I can't hear that, either, but if you're a fan, you're a fan A bit of deja vu... Seems we've been down this road before in this thread, but to refresh: Uncut-Jun 22, 2015 Wyman and his band soon settle into a series of mid-tempo songs

Today is the big anniversary! Huge bash at my place all weekend long celebrating. Any particular memories to share about where you were the first time you heard "crossed heart? tracks that have grown on you? thoughts on where it places in the pantheon of stones solo albums? I still think it's better than any stones album since Tattoo You! Lover's Plea, Trouble, Just a Gift

QuoteHairball Perhaps Keith will persuade Mick and the gang to play one of his solo gems from Crosseyed Heart. Or he can do one during his solo spot...I can hear Trouble now! Excellent idea!

They got bored with one another after all those years (who wouldn't) but are so desperate for the fame and money that they cling to what they have. Not particularly complicated. Their public battles are mostly just clever ways of getting PR.

Quotepmk251 After the Brussels performance (1st, don't be obtuse) I wonder if the band knew that it just completed one of its greatest live performances...ever. Can they tell in the moment? Jagger has tremendous stage awareness and he encourages Taylor throughout, but he often did that. As for the Montreux performances, I contend that Taylor fumbles the first one on purpose to give the pe

Quotetreaclefingers QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteHEILOOBAAS Quotemitchtaylorormick Sorry, but Woody sucks big fat elephant dick. 1975 and 1978 were the live musical low lights of the Stones career. 1981 was good because Keef stopped using herion.* I hate Woody. *Do you mean heroin? Viz. your sweeping statement about 75 and 76, there were shows that were pretty good, Seattle being among them.

QuoteStoneage I have a confession to make! I like that "Nothing On Me" song. Very Stonsey. So now I have agreed on liking at least two songs on the album (Troubles plus NOM). So, it's growing on me! It is a great track! Good to see you confessin

Quotehopkins Love the track. Love that entire album. Don't know why it's denigrated. Song list and performances and writing all of it really satisfying. Miss Amanda Jones, My Obsession, All Sold Out, Connection, Ruby Tuesday, Back Street Girl, Let's Spend The Night Together etc...fine fine songs. I'm only familiar with the U.S. release. I had loved Aftermath which came right b

Quote24FPS Look at that lineup! An absolute Murderers Row of the pinnacle of Stones performers. And even though Bill's participation is spotty on Exile, he's absolutely essential to this one. And that drummer is dynamite. Those horns cut, the piano pumps, and that lead guitarist lifts the whole thing to a new level at the end. This ain't no 'next single off our blah blah a

I always liked this song. However it's not an important enough song in their catalog to get hung up on who wrote what IMO. Solid mid-60s Stones. Much better than mid-70s stones ;-)

QuoteTitle5Take1 QuoteTurner68 Caught me totally off guard but was fun to have so much stones music in a movie and to have it woven into the story Just saw this this evening. Not just the music is of the Stones! ** Spoiler alert ** In a flashback interview Fiennes comments on Brian Jones's death. And then Fiennes later dies similarly to Brian with similar who-did-what? aspects. Also love

All the lists above are missing something. Any stones greatest hits compilation Released over the past 40 years has included new or unreleased Songs. This is to entice diehard fans (us) by the album even though we all already have 17 different albums with satisfaction, JJF etc on it. So really the question is what 18 greatest hits plus two previously unreleased tracks should be on the hypoth
