I totally agree ! This is my favorite moment too. I love the beginning of Loving Cup as well. Finally, Some girls and Brown Sugar have something very special.

Listen agin Tumbling Dice on SAL. It is a sloppy version and it's partly Darryl's fault. It's not swinging at all. Just boring.

Has anyone counted the number of distinct notes played by keith during his solos during SAL ? it's probably less than 10. It's always the same sequence coming again and again. Why did not they overdub at least the SFTD solo ?

This 90 Japan tour has something very special. I love it. For me the stones were at their best, especially Keith. Why: -Long show -Good set list (with many songs from steel wheels) -Incredible guitar playing -Incredible version of Happy (the best modern one) -They were still sounding fresh -Bill wyman was really swinging

Hi, This video is great I love the raw sound of the guitars (which were usually lower in the mix during the VL tour). Anyone knows which show is it ? I'd to get the complete DVD. Cheers

Hi, Well, Jump Back was supposed to cover the 71-93 period. I think there is now much more than enough material for 1994-2007 best of: 1- Oh No, Not You Again 2- I Go Wild 3- Out Of Control (No Security) 4- Saint Of Me 5- Brand New Car 6- We don't Wanna Go Home 7- Love Is Strong 8- Rough Justice 9- You Got It Made (Voodoo Lounge Outtakes) 10- Make it Now (Vo

Mathijs, Have a look at the saitama intro of YCAGWYW: The last time Keith played it so well was in 1989/1990. For example on live at the max. Another example , YGMR : This is the best live version ever. The band is better than in 2002/2003 and 1997/1999. Some songs like Brown Sugar do not sound good at all. The problem of the bigger bang tour is the set list and the absen

Can you confirm that he uses the Marshall Plexi Amp on Happy on the Live at Max video ? The sound of the telecaster is really huge during the solo. it is, from my point of view, one of the finest keith's moment ever.

One of the best Keith's solo played on the Silhouette. The sound is incredible. Other great moments with this guitar: -Gimme Shelter on the Eileen Single. -999 on the Boston 93 DVD. BTW, is it a Music Man Silhouette on the studio version of 999 ? Too sad he does not play this guitar anymore.

Thanks for the link to hightechdistribution. They sell the Silhouette for about 2000 Euros. It seems very expensive. It might be a better option to order it directly from the US.

Keith was of course playing the intro in open G as usual but Ronnie was supporting with great licks. I love his sound. Listen carefully, he has rarely done his job so well.

When I listen the sound of Ron Wood on the intro of Brown Sugar during the Tokyo 90 show (26/02/1990), it is the perfect stones sound. It is a Music Man Silhouette, isn't it ? Ronnie was still great at this time. This version is magic.

How would you compare the sound of the Music Man Silhouette to a Les Paul ?

I would like to buy a white Music Man Silhouette (The same as the one used by Keith between 88 and 93). Do you know (a good place) where I could order it ? I have been looking on the internet for a few hours and it is not so easy to find. The best would be a shop in France (Paris). Thanks,

Thanks for the info. Jagger's singing on rarities is great. Anyone knows which guitar was used ? the Music Man Silhouette maybe ? I remember reading somewhere that it was supposed to be played in Paris (i.e. it was not planned in the setlist). Keith started the song the band followed but Mick was upset... Anyone can confirm ?

As far as I know, this is the only picture of Keith with an ESP Guitar: <img src="; I want more information about this guitar and the picture: -When (probably 89/90) and where was the picture taken ? -Are there any other picture of Keith with this guitar? -Which model from ESP is it exactly ? -Has it been used by Keith on stage or in the studio? -This kind of guitar is suppose

yes it is played in open G tuning. The sound of his Telecaster is perfect here, so crunchy. Keith has rarely played so well after this tour.
