I have a great souvenir of a version I heard on a bootleg from the Giants Stadium in 1994. Don't remember exactly the date, but the bootleg was entitled something like "The circus is back in town"
Speaking as someone who was there it was certainly a blistering version. As to being the best ever? I can't say. Only the guy who's witnessed every single performance of it can answer that. I guess that narrows it down to Mick, Keith and Charlie. MSG 69 is also exceptional but all we can gauge are the recorded versions. I thought Newcastle June 82 'Satisfaction' was the best I'd heard at the time but I don't think it was ever captured so anything from memory tends to get a bit blurry.
"I'll be in my basement room with a needle and a spoon."
why is it every time someone wants to make a comment about the rolling stones they have to bring up lisa fischer if u have a comment about the stones say something about the stones stop making unwanted comments about lisa ....... and any way if lisa was so bad they would have fired her already but lets not forget the stones are the musical geniuses so if they love her voice so much then she must be good especially keith i know keith loves lisa alot
look at keith after lisas part he really enjoyed her solo cuz u could see it in his face

Because Satisfaction or any other stones song live does not need her there. Why shouldn't I make a comment about her being there? Are you the one who decides who can say what??
or the last one off the 2006 tour... i still can remember keith standing in front of me, he had to stop because of the fireworks i think he did want to go on for some more minutes
