Anyone any idea what limited edition means in terms of the coloured vinyls? I know when they did the ones for sale online and via the Carnaby street shop they were limited to 1000, but anyone any idea on these ones? Thanks

QuoteBig Al I’m probably totally off here, but the ‘hot girl’ video is probably to entice the Stones’, ageing, male demographic. Generation Z will not be amused. Good! Might even make them angry…

I think that for some people it’s just about having something that completes a collection. I’m sure there aren’t many but I’d imagine there will be some people out there who aim to have every release from their favourite band. And for others this is an investment as a genuine limited edition. There are only 1,000 of these out there. That bestows it with a value as a piece of ephemera, so it h

Quotetioms My question: How does it come that some people can sell up to 8 LP's (GHS red LP) on E-Bay? greets, The shop was letting people buy up to three copies each, so don't think it would have been that difficult.

I'm not sure how many of you were at Glastonbury. I think BV was, not sure if others made it or not. Now, I've seen the Stones play probably around 10 times over the last decade, and Glastonbury was the best gig from them I've ever been at. Have listened to some of the BBC coverage and it does not come close to doing it justice. Now, the BBC were pissed over the amount they coul

QuoteGravityBoy Can we dig a tunnel? If we start now... Just make sure you don't run into the underground bar. (You've got to love a festival with a bar built underground!) Quoterockenrohl Can anyone of those with Glasto-experience tell us how to get tickets? It seems that it's registered with photo, so it seems buying second-hand-tickets is difficult? I NEED to be there

QuoteNedKelly Which day are they playing? And do you think it´s possible to get a ticket if one shows up at that day? That is always possible when they play the stadium shows, but I don´t know much about the festival..... They're playing Saturday night, and I think it will be next to impossible to get a ticket on Saturday. The festival is out in the countryside, down in Somerset, so not t

QuoteStoneage More than 200 quid for a festival ticket? Poor parents. It's a festival for rich kids then. But Glastonbury is a five day festival if you want it to be. Campsite opens on Wednesday morning, and there's loads on around the site Wednesday and Thursday. So £40 a day. Hard to get better value than that these days.

I think the GLastonbury crowd will love the Stones, and I say that as a fairly regular Glastonbury-goer. Thye'll play a hits and warhorses set, the crowd will lap it up, as they do when most major bands have appeared. And there's great opportunity for singalongs - when Glasto joins in, it really is something to behold. I'm not sure I've seen the Stones in a big venue where

It's a Jane Bown print...should have been in your copy of the paper. I've got the print that was shown at her Rock exhibition a few years ago. Just regret not buying the Keith one at the same time...just couldn't afford it!

I went down to the o2 planning to buy a ticket off a tout cheaply on Tuesday, but realised after a while the security/police/trading standards were all out in full force. Hung around for a while, but refused to pay the price the ticket office was looking. Anyway, I waited until just after 9pm and then made a move to leave. Just outside the door was someone who I assume worked at the o2. He had

Same venue, but different stage. Prince stage is in the round with a symbol <-+o shaped stage. Stones was a usual end of venue style stage.

From what I've seen so far security at o2 is too good for touts. There's just nowhere nearby for them to sell tickets. The venue owns the land from the tube exit right up to the door and have security, police and trading standards doing patrols up and down it. Don't count on picking one up that way...but there are ways and means...

They were still selling tickets for Thursday night on the door, but said that Sunday had sold out. Don't think there were that many left unsold on Thursday as I had a good look around when in and it was probably a some empties right up at the very back of the top tier. Apart from the two seats either side of me in block 101. But then they were competition winners who didn't turn up. Th

I'm not sure any of this means the venue wasn't close to sold out. They bascially consolidated seats on the lower levels. Empty seats around the ground floor and lower tier were filled while upper level seats were more likely to be less filled. Seating in the nosebleed seats, there were definitely seats around me free, but not that many. However I was second row on level 4 so there coul

Just been reading through some of the threads and thought I'd add here was a great show. The one thing I'd say is that I think the sound is going to be an issue at the o2 for a while to come. I've been to a couple of the recent Prince shows and after tonight my overall impression after sitting in various levels is that the sound in the lower and upper tiers is sharper, the floor se

Just a point on the Amex ticket sale last time around. I bought one using Amex and here are the details...strange, as I thought it cost £90, but unless that was with charges. Can't say it was a particularly bad seat! Rolling Stones - Reserved Pitch Seating Wembley Stadium, Middlesex, UK Tuesday, 22 August, 2006 7:00 pm Seat location: section BL A2, row 1, seat 20 Total Charge: £73.

Ok, I asked a couple of mates to test this out for me. Both of them got the same code, so I just want to check if everyone else got the same one. For those who did get a code...does it end in CAJ? Asked them to do it yesterday, so not sure if they're getting a "you're too early" code or whether they're all the same.

There are advertisements in UK national press (Tuesday) telling 02 customers to text them for a number to get presales on Wednesday morning. Looks like you need to be a legit customer...won't do just getting someone you know to text to get you a code.

Ok, O2 are placing ads in national press telling 02 customers to text them for a presale code. Looks like you've got to be a customer with an account...don't think it'll work if you ask a mate to text it for the code. Need to register on their site with account details.
