It is just graphics - artistical freedom in the new age of marketing.

There are no plans of a new tour now, and no shows are sold out, they are not even on sale...

listening to 'Angry' right now for the first time… Sorry to say: It's a let down and a big dissappointment. The band is running out of ideas after less than two minutes. And to be honest: I don't feel like I want to listen to that song again. Far below any expectation and much inferior to 'Ghost Town'.
And the video is so cheap and without any new footage…

Whether we like it or not...THANK YOU ROLLING STONES FOR THE NEW ALBUM IN 2023!!! I think many of us here will embrace the new album with happiness and tears of joy, for the most part anyways.
I've been up since 4:30 AM Pacific time and am a feeling bit loopy haha, but wouldn't have missed this event for anything. Mission accomplished, long live the Stones, and keep on rolling in to 2024 and beyond...........

Hes singing lead on 'Tell me straight'. He claimed Mick tried to steal it from him, so 'it must be good'

They didnt specifically mention any others, but I guess its possible there may be a second.

I don't think I've ever seen Keith make Mick laugh like that before. Mick let out a genuinely big laugh on that line, like he was really letting his guard down. So maybe it's true, and 'it must be good.'

Anyways, I'm stoked for this album and just feeling grateful and in awe that the Stones are releasing new music at this stage in their lives. It's amazing!

i plan to get the green vinyl from amazon, the japanese cd, and the 7" single

20+ new tracks recorded and ronnies says there are two albums (time to start the new album for 2024 thread) all recorded in less then a year

apparently the well has far from ran dry!

which means we have significant amounts of studio outtakes with charlie out there waiting to leak someday or used by the band in some kind of future release

like a voodoo brew/stew/residue amount of stuff here

and what do we now refer to the sessions from 2015-21 as since the vast majority of the recordings for hd where recorded and written from 2022 onward?

blue & lonesome sessions, no filter sessions (wasn't that supposed to be the albums title at some point?)

the hints about a hackney diamond tour with dates in july from the video has me interested too

i imagine that if they do have a second album in the works that that'll be the album they tour behind next summer and not a nearly year old hd (the hackney diamonds tour could just be a place holder for whatever they name the next album)

but either way that's a pretty big that they plan to continue touring

also note the word "tour" not "residency"

how many times did mick taylor and bill appear in the video four, five times

maybe the forgot airbrush them out

but the main thing ($$$) when you travel from another continent is the anticipation with which you buy the air ticket
then it would be ideal to know the exact dates and cities as soon as possible

Ronnie saying theres another album there doesnt mean they think its release worthy.

In the CD era, they've tended to add extra songs to fill it out (Voodoo Lounge, AB resulting in uneven albums. Twelve songs might clock in at a single LP's worth of material and be more consistent as a result.

I remember when Emotional Rescue came out, Mick saying they had loads of extra songs and that they would maybe do another one soon using the leftovers plus some newer ones - 14 months later they released 'Tattoo You' which was actually a better album (even if they ended up raiding the vaults before ER instead of writing new songs)

It'd be good if sometime in the next year or two they find a way of doing something similar

Just a heads up. I preordered the album and I thought the tax seemed kind of high. I live in Louisiana and found I'd been charged LA state tax and also LA (= Los Angeles) city tax. I don't like my chances of getting that refunded, so caveat emptor!

Maybe has been commented before, but could we assume that the 10’’ version of the single will mean a longer edit than the 7’’ version?
I am loving the song outro but I can easily imagine a longer one. That would be great.

In that case I would prefer an “organically” played in the studio longer outro, rather than a “remix” extension. I don’t know if you get my point.

My God, it’s good to have the Rolling Stones back. Angry is their best single in four decades, an absolute blast powered by a defiantly dumb stop start riff that recaptures the energy of Start Me Up and Jagger attacking the lyric with his best mockney sneer and an extravagant, leering defiance....

lots of fun on this single....its a good one.
