Not sure how much interest this video will attract, but I figured it enough a curio to warrant posting. Take It So Hard begins at the 1:53 mark.

Thanks, I've seen it before but still enjoy it every time.
Jimmy did great drumming on some of The Stones albums he produced.

Jimmy Miller produced as well: "Motörhead - Overkill and Bomber" albums.

Very cool Big Al! Thanks for posting. There is precious little video of Jimmy Miller around and to watch him playing drums was a real treat.

My first thought was that there was no way that was Jimmy Miller on that cheap trap set and looking so different but when I saw it was his step son that posted the video I realized it must indeed be the great man himself. Sweet!

It absolutely is worth a mention. I guess it didn't register with me; been a while since I have listened to Keith's solo debut. Perhaps I should have titled the thread: 'Jimmy Miller Drumming Along To Talk Is Cheap winking smiley

Jimmy Miller's half sister is Judith Miller [en.wikipedia.org] who is a well known reporter and political commentator who was with the New York Times for years. Their father Bill Miller spent years in Las Vegas producing live shows.

And if anyone cares Jimmy Miller was half Jewish via his father.

Nice, must have been a bit weird for him to be drumming to a Keith solo song...especially since he hadn't played for eons according to his wife at the end.

Do we know if he ever spoke with the band again after the GHS fiasco where he was apparently carving swastikas on the mixing desk and flying higher than Keith?

as this is Jimmy Miller, its much more than a curio, imo...

I have a lot of interest in Jimmy Miller. He produced my all-time favorite albums.

he played on one of my all-time favorite songs. ('Happy')

and he is produced and is pretty much responsible for the sound of two of my all-time favorite non-Rolling Stones songs: 'I'm A Man' and 'Gimme Some Lovin'

i'd like to know more about him other than the usual Wikipedia accounts..

I think These are overdubbed vocals for their never released 1972 live Album. You can find them on various bootlegs. Like on YaYas there are Keith harmonies that were never done live on Stage.

If it does come to pass, hopefully Jagger won't indulge in the unnecessarily theatrical denouement:

This is a great version of a true classic Stones song and it makes me sad that they played it only a couple of times in 1989.

They should not only play it in SA, they should make One Hit To The Body their opening number. Would be breathtaking indeed.

They rocked that out! IF they ever play OHTTB again, I don't think they'd be able to play it like that again.
