Here is a rare Ya Yas promo poster, advertizing the back catalog. Same basic design as the paper insert that came in Hot Rocks, but the Hot Rocks flier says 211 Reasons Why, while this one only has 209 Reasons Why....as Brown Sugar and Wild Horses weren't included on the poster, but were on the flier.

Pretty cool.

US Sister Morphine (Marianne Faithful) singles...old photo, as I have a few more variations of the promo--both mono and stereo promos, and another variation on the stock copy, as well.

JR ,

What don't you have ? Maybe it would take up less space .

I know of at least 3 Canadian colored vinyls unless of course they were duplicates .

>grinning smiley<Just Kidding , great rarities everyone !!

'ello all ...

sooo glad I found you lot !!!

quick question re: the original Lurch release of "Live'r than you'll ever be".

I have a copy (unfortunetly the sleeve came to me water damaged, not too
bad) ... the matrix from the stamp (after run off groove) has the Lurch
matrix number ... so I know it was at least stamped from those plates.

the label on the record is red ... plain black type: "lurch"

does anyone know if this could possibly be a first run ?
... if so what if any value ( yea, the water damage brings it down) ?

I bought it about 20 yrs ago for, I think $20.

I know the "T.M.O.Q" are a second run.

I'd post a foto but my Lp's are in storage as I'm in-between places but
maybe I can get to it tmrw.

thnxs ... and peace be on ya' !

A general question: I got the Trident Mixes on lp. I know which version and what it is worth according to Dieter Hoffmann's black book. But: It had no track listing on the record itself and therefore I convinced my (now) wife to calligraph the songs on the round yellow (RS Records imitation) label. Is that killing any resale or whatever?
By the way, I remember a mid-80s comment in a music paper (Germany) stating that the cd will destroy the vinyl lp but will still have a market in the bootleg business. First thing I recognized on my next record fair, all the vinyls had been gone - replaced by cds and a tripled price...

Hi JJHMICK,

I'm not sure, which version of the Trident Mixes you have. My has not only on the back-cover the titles, but also on the labels of the colored vinyl, see the photos.

In my opinion any additional writings onto a record and / or sleeve will probably affect a resale, I would hesitate to buy an item which is "manipulated" with extra writings (but it depends from collector to collector and the grade of writings and possibly also if it is a Bootleg or not and how rare an item is at least :-)

Andreas

Hallo Andreas,
a bit stupid to say that in English as you are German too (?!) but so everybody will understand. My Trident Mixes are in (some kind) of red colour. In this case my wife only added the title The Rolling Stones & The Trident Mixes around the left side of the label from that dwarf down to the song list. (Funny enough, we complain about the value of the artwork of official Stones releases (Flashpoint f.e.) whereas lots of bootlegs appear to be products of design departments.) There are some lesser known 'records' that she has completed more information of.
Well, anyway, as the music on the record is vastly known I don't think it is of major importance and the other examples are of 'records' of low(er) quality. And I don't want to sell them anyway, unless I'm dead and my wife has/wants to.
I received all of Dieter Hoffmann's Basement News (plus Schwarzbuch and Weißbuch and Schwarzbuch pages) and therefore had an idea who JR/stone-relics is but I want to pick up one of your last posts. A Japanese release cd was very helpful to complete the Oldham activities but I never came across that music on that Cleo single with To Know Him.../and AOL Orchestra There Are But 5... Actually, Ckleo Sylvester became quite known as an actress later on, playing the main female character in "National Health" by Peter Nichols in 1969.
My e-mail isn't hidden , probably, we should get to know of each other in general, if you like.

I'm in the process of moving, so I took pictures of almost all of my collection. There's still a few missing (Like the Bridges To Babylon official DVD). There's probably not many rarities there, and many of the CDs (Which is the only thing I collect along with DVDs - No LPs) are the same, although it's on different labels and such. I'm proud of my collection, though it's not the biggest by any standard.
Here you go:

No pics of books or anything yet. Maybe later.

Just want to say thanks to all the folks who have put up images of their collections. Heck, we could just print this thread and sell it as a book!

Keep up the good work. Will add new stuff later. Books sound like a GREAT idea.

Any info on a release date of your book?
