It was last week, and I'm still blushing. I got starstruck, probably for the first time.
Went to a cancer conference, and there was a meet and greet with Lance Armstrong for a small group of people. Armstrong's one of my all time heroes, and a great inspiration. And I didn't even manage to say "thanks". I'm deeply ashamed.

Very peculiar reaction, since it was my job for 30 years to interview people. And yes, name a celebrity from the film, litterature and music scene - I've most likely interviewed them. Never had a problem before, but Lance Armstrong, phew...

Working at Lowlands I met a lot of them an took pictures. Also I met a few through mucision friends. Here are some:

Slash, Nickelback, Muse, Dave Grohl, Prodigy, Tricky, Therapy, Suede, Heather Nova, Guano Apes, Fred Durst, Mick Taylor, De La Soul, Ed Kowalsyk, Duff McKeagan, Matt Sorum, Scott Weiland (not friendly), Franz Ferdiand, Cypress Hill, Henry Rollins (said to me: I wish you were Cameron Diaz in a cage haha).

None more so IMHO than Noel Redding...an absolute gentleman and very sadly missed.

Thought I saw Mick yesterday at the airport but it was a younger man that just happened to have big lips and looked a bit like him. My only star I did meet face to face was a long time ago........Lee Majors when he was at his prime of his career. We did have a short chat.

I've been very close with the legendary Stumpy Matumbo.

I've met several PGA tour pros, my favorite being Ben Crenshaw. Very cool guy and one you'd never know had won the Masters (twice). Had a putting contest with him too. He used my putter and I got to use "Little Ben". It was scratched up beyond belief, he said from stomping it with spikes, etc. and a couple large chunks taken out after he'd tied it up behind his car for the drive home on time. Needless to say, I got whipped. He's got more touch in the tip of his little finger than 1,000,000 golfers put together. :-)

Buddy Guy stopped by my table in Legends a number of times while playing his guitar. Those moments are fantastic.

Played pool with Otis Rush in a bar in Chicago.

Met BB King and Lucille (very quiet when not on-stage, that Lucille is).

And I rode forty floors in an elevator with a celebrity that I thought was Mick Jagger, turns out it was somebody else . . .




I could have sworn Mick has the same pantsuit.

I met the singer and guitar player Nicke Borg from Backyard Babies today in Stockholm.
Now, that's a cool guy with plenty of tattoos.

Met all the original Ramones and all 4 signed their 1st album in 77 upstairs at The Rainbow. Joey signed A-O Let's Go.
