Anyone who dies rather young due to drug or drink is a waste of talent. She died in her early 40s and her later records suffered from her life style.

But her music still lives on - that is the mark of a great artist.

She's been dead nearly 50 years...and she is still the greatest at what she did. And in re of dying young - she probably had two or three lifetimes crammed into her 44 years on this earth ;-)
