The last concert I went to was: The Rolling Stones - Stockholm.

I guess some might argue I should get out more... But being a Stones collector, every cent I waste on another band, doesn't go into my collection, or to Mick.

N.Blues if you haven't heard Band of Horses live I recommend 'em. They opened a tour last night here in Richmond, first an acoustic set that to my not-so-acoustic-inclined tastes was good, then an intermission, then a longer electric set that was fukkin great. My first time hearing them live and I was mightily impressed.

They have a 2 night stand at the Ryman Feb 14 & 15. Almost all other stops this tour are at low ticket warnings or sold out, but Nashville with its 2 nights has good availabilty.

Also in Nashville Feb 15, btw, is Eddie 9Volt, an electric bluesman out of Atlanta who's a natural performer and puts on a good show for a low price.

I don't really do general admission standing room shows in loud, hot, sweaty clubs anymore. But I might. I remember thinking their drummer was kinda cute .... 40 years ago.

Wow, didn't know they're still around! I saw them twice back in the day. 1982 triple bill Scorpions, Iron Maiden, Girlschool. 1985 with Deep Purple.

Tiny place with all GA. Guess this is in place of the previously leaked Ryman date. Won't sound as good as the Ryman, but it'll be gnarly to see him in a tiny venue!

Been to and back from the aforementioned Wilco gig. They were ASTONISHING. They smashed it and tore the house down. So brilliant. Absolutely.

I saw them once long time ago, in 2010, but had somehow forgotten what an incredible band they were.

Nels Cline is an underrated axeman who deserves more credit to him. So original. He turned the guitar into a magic wand.

None. Most concerts are jacked up beyond my price range. I'm not paying $200, plus fees, to sit in the nosebleeds. That's the price for Willie Nelson and family (with Dylan and Mellencamp) at the Hollywood Bowl this summer.

After wanting to see The Kills for five years, a family emergency prevented me from making their March 1 show. I hope it won't be five more years before they come around again.

Another edit: While seeing Marshall Crenshaw 3/29, at the same venue tickets for Dave Alvin just went on sale.

And another: The Pretenders' DC show July 21 at the 1,850 seat Warner Theater sold fast and there were only platinums and resales when I checked. But, they got a second show booked for July 20, in which standard prices still exist... barely. I've seen them only once before. 1982, the original band shortly before James Honeyman-Scott OD'ed.
