i just watched "charlie is my darling" - i was struck by the banner "Always Rolling Stones" - little did the guy know they'd be around so long...it would be cool to put that on a shirt...

I remember seeing a guy in a magazine(maybe Uncut) wearing a t-shirt saying I need Stones to keep me happy.That was pretty cool.

Ablett used those portraits (2005 by Steven Klein, i believe) and then
MackJigger rearranged them in a line that way - see page 21 of this thread.

if the edges can be made to look right it would be very cool
(Keith's hair especially looks clumsy in this version -
i know it's not easy to do "silhouettes" of hair, so that's not meant as a putdown!)

I really like this one -- the fonts and especially the lined sleeves. It looks classy. Anything on the back?

I wish you could try this with red instead of yellow but with the red outlined in white to make it stand out (Stones colours), but I suppose this violates The Man's rules as laid out in his post.

And how about a large photo of the Plexiglass on the back? (just kidding, maybe I can make that one for myself).

Hi sssoul, can understand your reaction but all the designs I posted are just rough versions. See them as sketches for a final design.

I think it has potential, it's pretty good -- how about replacing the burgundy letters with Stones red. Oh, but in either case, 3 colours violates The Man's restrictions.
Also add some words to the lining of the shirt sleeves instead of just a colour.

It's growing on me Mack, but remember the shirt is better in black and with different photo and you could change the grapics also , but maybe you got put Ronnie not upfront because he was the Last Stone?

Do I understand that the image is not an original photo but made of the four characters put together? If so, than I propose the following:
i) Considering "directions" (reading/looking from left to right in most countries), Keith would fit better as the right "end" and Charlie as the left. That's a "rule" in layouting of photos on (f.e. newspaper) pages.
ii) Seperate Mick and Ronnie as their hair "floats" together.
iii) Three of the four have their head "bowed" to their right shoulder. A two-two-look would be more orderly.

IV) Mick white shirt that's also a rule
V) Ronnie and Charlie always 5 inches apart also a rule
VI) seperate Ringo from George

etc.etc. Now we are really getting somewhere!!!!!!!!!

I like it but the only problem is that keith looks like larry from the three stooges, it would look better with another keith image

Let me make a suggestion with the hope I don't come across as being arrogant...as someone who is told very often that I have an eye for anything aesthetic, make sure that the image is not too large, especially on the front...frankly, images that are large tend look cheap. As an example, on the "Voodoo" shirt above this post, I would shrink the image by a third. A smaller one if centered works well by itself or if you wear an opened shirt over it. Also, an image on the left side of the chest tends to look official and tasteful. Finally, people tend to focus on images that aren't too big in an inquisitive sort of way......

PS..make sure the collar band isn't too wide and use shirts that are 100% cotton......

oh absolutely!
i think the line-up you had at the start looks brilliant - Keith's arm around Charlie is lovely,
and i understand that the versions posted here are "sketches", so that's cool.
i would vote for as few fonts as possible - like two at most - and i agree with whoever said
that red is a more likely colour than yellow - yellow's a colour that not many people look good in
and besides, it attracts insects.

that Voodoo design is cool too! :E

here's my only non-idea - i wanted to include the bonkers-lookin fans from Ronnie's painting
but (like Chuck Berry) i have tried and failed. :E

Personally, I would prefer a logo of some sort rather than what looks like a 10th generation photocopy of a photograph. The single color photos are not very attractive IMHO. I'm not trying to hurt anyone feelings, bad the photos are really bad.

I don't really like a front/back solution. Too much text. Too many messages. We don't really need the "RS Fan Club" text at all actually, because the RS are actually in the image, they don't need any presentation, and the fan club is listed twice, above and below, as IORR. Then the front could look like this:
