Hey Tod,that's your first decent post in the last 25 years LMFAO.

I just realized someone left a blunt in my house, which is sort of a stogie/doobie combo, so I fired it up. Close enough for government work.

>> Any boots of Mac's current band floating around out there (or even official releases),
as I doubt I'll be getting to Austin anytime soon? <<

sounds like you want to check out Mac's site: [www.macspages.com]
i'd give a direct link to where you can buy some Bump Band music (and/or a lot of other great stuff)
but there's so much on there related to questions you've all been pondering in this thread
that i reckon you'll be happier going through the whole thing.

I have an awesome 6 CD (I think it was 6 CDs ... maybe only three...) BBC bootleg with the Faces from the early '70s. Got it from Dime maybe a year ago. Maybe I could post it in some way sometime.

Glad to see many other Faces fans.

Mac's solo stuff is good. He also signs each and every thing you buy from him. His book "All The Rage" is a must-have for Stones fans.

BTW, the Hooker/Thoroghgood song is "One Bourbon, One SCOTCH, One Beer", not one shot.

"All the Rage" is the most excellent book.

I remember when "Nod" first came out...It was on my turntable for months. I got "Five Guys Walk into a Bar" for xmas. Lot's of great live recordings.

Great band !!!

You are right of course Elmo. I guess I was singing my own version, while drinking a shot. The funny thing is neither StonesTod or ONNYA corrected me. Which only proves they were just as drunk as I was last night!lol

i didn't say anything back to Elmo because in his endeavor to correct the name of the song, the idiot couldn't even spell Thorogood right. I let it go out of deference to his own drunkenness or stupidity....

Drunk, stupid, or both? Doesn't matter to a blind horse. Just some horse's asses on here.

BTW, sentences start with capital letters, Professor.

your spelling is getting better! I'm not sure starfuck is an actual word, though. but, given the history of the other form of the word used by our band, i'll let it go this time.

"Stay With Me" is the best song the Stones never wrote.

"The wonder of Jimi Hendrix was that he could stand up at all he was so pumped full of drugs." Patsy, Patsy Stone

Now that could be a stones warhorse they never wrote. (As I mix 2 different thread topics).

"It's just some friends of mine and they're busting down the door"

OK...here's a dumb question for you all. Is the name of the band FACES or THE Faces?? Rod and Ron and the others always refer to the band as THE Faces but on the albums it's always "Produced By Faces," or "Best Of Faces" or in the 1975 Rolling Stones tour program it says "Ron Wood Courtesy Of Rod Stewart and Faces" (which probably didn't go down very well with the rest of the band!).

It seems like the record company wanted the name to be like "Wings" or, later, "Talking Heads"--plural names with no "the" in front--but to the band it's The Faces.

It's always bugged me. What's the TRUTH?

Faces.

Re: Faces' "A Nod's As Good As A Wink"

Or, as Mick refers to them NJ '78, "The Smawl Faces pop-uh groop."

"The wonder of Jimi Hendrix was that he could stand up at all he was so pumped full of drugs." Patsy, Patsy Stone

>> NJ '78 <<

?! don't you mean LA 75? and it's "the Faces pop group" -
Ronnie wasn't in the Small Faces - he's way too tall.

He's referring to Mac on the Handsome Girls CDs.
