Throwaway Visions of Paradise Wired All Night God Gave Me Everything Sweet Thing Use Me Just Another Night Party Doll Don't Tear Me Up Don't Call Me Up
Hi... I'm new! Been a stones fan for a long time... jagger has been a source of inspiration for me and continues to be..
For me: "Joy" "Don't tear me up" "Blind leading the Blind" "Sweet thing" "Old habits die hard" (the line "Old soldiers just faid away" always moves me)
Memo from Turner Too many cooks Sweet Thing Don't tear me up Wandering Spirit I've been lonely for so long Visions of paradise God gave me everything Joy Goddess in the doorway
Throwaway Peace For The Wicked Kow Tow Say You Will Secrets Lucky In Love (the 12" is better than the LP version!) 1/2 A Loaf Running Out Of Luck Sweet Thing Don't Tear Me Up Evening Gown Hang On To Me Tonight Put Me In The Trash God Gave Me Everything Ruthless People Catch As Catch Can
Catch as Catch Can is far from the best but is still simply a gem of a song. Suprisingly underated even by Jagger fans. Nice use of the idiom for a song title. Nice guitars and wonderful horns. Jimmly Miller or Rubin or Mark Ronson's production could have elevated this to classic status

Whatever his best solo song may be, you'll find it on Wandering Spirit, but I have to say that EVENING GOWN is the best song the man has written in a long long time (3 decades?). There have been some good ones since then with the Stones, but that song is something very special. The kind of special that will be re-discovered and covered over and over again by various other musicians who know an immortal song when they hear one.
