So, dear > promotor - Ullevaal stadium - not f???*ØX rainy > Bergen... Last time Stones visit Oslo there were 32000 when it could be 40000 spectatures. Ullevål have the same capacity as Lerkendal and us hillbilles we know our time and the stadium would be packed. Sad for me and sad for you, Bergen is the winner and the only place in Norway the Stones will play on this tour.
"Was going to ask if there were any rumours about a new date for Gothenburg so that I could change my flight dates, but have now been told my flight is non changeable and non refundable! It just gets better and better...."
Do you have travel insurance? Get your doctor to write a statement, telling you were unable to fly, due to infected ears... Worked for me. I got all my buck back now.
Remember they have to do all Scandinavian cities in the same run, same week, othgerwise they waste days on extra travel. So we don't talk about a day early September byt a week at least. All outdoor shows have to be done in September, that's the problem. So it's a hard thing to do. Expect some cancellations and/or indoor shows if possible.
There arent too many indoor arenas that would have a capacity anywhere near a stadium show - even the poor selling ones. Do you think that instead of a stadium show in certain cities they might end up playing two arena shows there instead?
Bergen is this planet's wettest place, outside the rain forest... It's total stupidity from the beginning - to have outdoor shows in that city. It's raining whales! Not even cats and dogs - it's worse. Let's hope a cancellation in Bergen opens up for an indoor show in Oslo, or Ullevaal stadium. Logistically that would also make things far easier for the Stones. Bergen is really off Broadway.
The weather in Bergen in early sept. could be exatcly the same as early jun. 20 deegres and sun to 10 deegres and rain. The weather condition can`t be used as an argument to cancel the concert. It must be other reason.
It's off Broadway. Logistics, baby, logistics. Imagine getting the Stones trucks from Bergen to Gothenburg... With the ferries on an off strike... On some of Europes most difficult roads with drivers who have never driven there before. There are a number of good reasons why they shouldn't play in Bergen. Pneumonia, arthrithis, etc. We're talking of a bunch of mature gentlemen, here.
Could be too easy to say something witth here about the Five Years Plan, where new cars was postponed to 1996 by Brezjnev or something like that. And, as been pointed out before; who will drum?
what statement? there was one (1) report of an "unnamed source" saying someone said Charlie said that he wouldn't do world tours after this one, but i never saw any evidence that Charlie actually said that, let alone anything about refusing to tour at all after this year.

correct
if he even made it at all, that is - he sure wasnt quoted publicly as far as Im aware!
daft argument. Whatever he chooses to do or not do after the tour is over, he'll be there until it ends. The 'Dec 2006' is only because thats when the tour was originally supposed to finish
Ok, not the heaviest argument I've aired ever, the Charlie-one.
But we have seen so many promotor announcements this past month, I prefer to believe a 2007 tour in Europe when I see it on a official site, even more official than in a "they talk of"-expression at Ron's site.
