This is great this thread. In amongst the students, fund managers, gardners, archaelogists, geologists, design engineers, writers, photographers, tour guides, real estate moguls etc etc - we have a fine upstanding group of dopeheads, potheads, crackheads, wastes of space, wastes of time, gay porn stars, hetero porn stars ............... what a rich and varied world we live in ?

As for me, I ain't tellin' !!!

I work at a school as a teacher's assistant, and in a kindergarden.
And when I bring my guitar in the music lessons, we sing Stones songs. I have to show them what's real music. (they're kids from 3 up to 12 years old.)

Corporate real estate broker, VP of two not-for-profit boards - one that helps developmentally disabled children and adults and the other a historical preservation group, and part-time restaurant host...the last one is the most fun but helping those with developmentally disabilities is the most rewarding and humbling.

for theboys. . .

I always knew I had to have a day job - and it ended up in IT, telecom stuff - OK I guess, it paid the bills, 3 kids and all that. . .blah, blah. . .

But my passion is playing piano/keys and I managed it in many ways. . .church, rock groups, chamber ensembles. . .on & on. . and it actually brought in pretty good $$ on the side. . . .as well as give this dad a thrill. . if you know what I mean. . .

My dream is to be in a small bar somewhere, Mick, Keith and Charlie walk in. . .and ask the crowd "anybody play piano?". . .I'm like, hello? Chuck - this is my night baby - you got a night off. . . . It's me tonight, Let's Spend The Night Together. . . . . .

Oh well, we can dream can't we?

You got to roll me. . . .

theboys.

I am a nurse, I have worked in many areas of nursing: critical care, diagnostic cardiology, drug and alcohol rehab, community and migrant health, nursing instructor. Now I am the education coordinator at the hospital in the town where I live. Lots of stuff to do in health care, but I am trying to figure out how not to work or retire and become a groupie.
