Jonathan Dean of The Sunday Times citing "Industry insiders" says the Gallagher brothers will reunite in 2025.

Oasis reunion and Wembley gigs next year … is that definitely, maybe?

exclusive

Noel and Liam Gallagher appear to have settled their differences and, if the truce holds, will play massive concerts in London and at Manchester’s Heaton Park in 2025

Been reading upwards of 10 Wembley shows and multiple nights in Manchester at the stadium that City plays at. Other reports have mentioned a bigger tour including North American shows. I love Oasis, seen them in 96, 08 and Liam opening for The Who in 2019. They're a bit boring in concert, kind of like The Eagles, don't move around much.
Sure they'll sell out stadiums in England, but are they big enough to play stadiums in the US?

Hope not.

They're awful. Bland and boring "music". Horrific Beatles wannabes.

If they do and people pay to go see them, ha ha... suckers: a meaningless loss of money - and two self indulgent angry brothers get paid again for being the pricks they are.

Their arrogance is astounding. Such brittle egos.

Oh, it’s an absolute certainty that stadium shows throughout the U.K. will be sell-outs; perhaps in some larger European cities, too: Dublin; Paris, etc. In North America, I envisage them doing well in large arenas: Madison Square Garden, etc.

I was a bit young to have caught them in their mid-90’s heyday, but I caught one of their last-ever shows at Wembley Stadium.

Oasis were - and are - a cultural phenomenon in the U.K. it doesn’t matter if some American dislikes them; they’ve got many fans stateside. Bring it on! Get pissed, and turn Cigarettes & Alcohol up loud!

Unbelievably great news. I have seen Oasis around 20 plus times and this has really, really excited me. I am as big an Oasis fan as I am a Stones fan.

To all the naysayers...enjoy! spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

I'm hoping it's a lineup which includes Alan White who IMO was the best Oasis drummer (2002/3 was the best Oasis were live imo - Gallaghers, Bell, Archer, White).

Make no mistake in the UK this is going to be one of if not the biggest music tours the UK has ever seen.

Roll on tommorow!

It's unfortunate that people in the UK gleefully bought in to their garbage.

In the US... I have never met anyone that likes them.

That doesn't really mean anything, though, does it.

There are people in the US as well that have incredibly horrible taste. It's a big country, which explains Dave Matthews and Hootie:

Millions of people really like or even love really bad music.

Well you've never met them pal, they are great with folks like us. You shouldn't believe everything you read in the papers ya know?
Having said that, as soon as I saw the thread I knew there would be a negative comment from you. You surely must be the most miserable person in Louisiana?

Oasis are along with The Stones and The Who (and maybe Guns n Roses)the most dangerous bands ever existed.

I was lucky to see them 1st time in 1996 and 16 more shows after that up until 2009. I saw every show on their US Tour in 2006, Happy days!
I met Liam and Noel on numerous occasions and they are great with ordinary people, paparazzis however...
2025 will be GREAT, Stones, Oasis and possibly Springsteen! My poor wallet.....smileys with beer

It's even more unfortunate that the US gave us bands like Kiss, Motley Crue, The New York Dolls, Cinderella...Of course we counted on the UK to give the only right answer: Spinal Tap.

The First three albums of Oasis are glorious, Liam's solo outings are fantastic, Noel's Chasing Yesterday is one of my favorite albums.

When tickets go on sale for the 10 Wembley shows without a doubt they will need to add another 10.

They were a cultural phenomenon here in Ireland too in the 90s and still hold a sigificant allure. I loved the first two albums and their B-Sides, and select cuts from the five albums that followed.

In this part of the world they're thought of almost as rock royalty - I wouldn't think of them as such, but the impact in the 90s was so enormous that mystique and fascination has only grown since they split up. People mostly only think of those first two or three albums, and the Oasis film would cover that same ground. Everything up to Knebworth is seen as iconic, and what came after - particularly from 2000 onwards, does not seem to tarnish that status even though the quality was not the same for the most part. Definitely had good material on all albums but they were bloated with filler.

I have no doubt they'll do massive shows here in Ireland, and once the rumoured 10 nights at Wembley sell out, who knows how many more.

The Stones ? Dangerous ? Ah yes Yes, certainly until 1982.

What happened in 1982? winking smiley

Thing is, The Stones kept on going as usual way past 1982. However, we got older and didn't find them as «dangerous» anymore.

Multiple reports credit The Times piece as their source and mention Glastonbury, Wembley and Manchester.

While certainly possible, haven't seen anything about North America.

I was born... winking smiley

I meant all bands in their heyday, The Who are not dangerous anymore either and I'm sure RKids will be very professional this time around, ie no Wembley Stadium 2nd nite 2000 (a must watch on YouTube for anyone who loves good ol' Rock n Roll with Monty Python-esque banter, 94-98 mayhem etc etc....smileys with beer

It's like Stones 1962 until 1982. After that it's playing safe although I must say from 97 with B2B up until 2007 it got dangerous again, especially those When The Whip Comes Down-moments on the b-stage...... grinning smiley

Is there any chance that the Stones open for Oasis in one or two shows?

I’m American and I love their first two albums. I don’t give a care about rip offs and neither should any of you. Everyone borrows from everyone else including The Rolling Stones. they took what they liked and gave it their own spin.

I’ve seen them a few times and enjoy the show. Last time was probably 20 years ago and Liam’s voice was already shot and sounded like crap. I’d give it another go though

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

Fabulous first two albums and a cultural touchstone here in uk in the 90s. Saw them at Maine rd first time round and Sheffield arena a few years later, also seen Liam a few times since
I’ll probably give this a whirl- will make a lot of people happy (my kids, 16 and 19) also keen which shows a bit of generational appeal too)

Their live album Familiar to Millions is actually what made me a huge fan. I don't get the comments regarding lack of energy. They rock!

Liam opened for the Stones in 2018, joined by other members of Oasis. 15,000 people sang along on the field, leaving after their set. That's how big they are in the UK.

I'd never have guessed GNR could play stadiums, and I'm a big GNR fan. So I believe Oasis can do some major city stadiums here. It wouldn't be what I'd have thought, but its not insane to me. They are the last band with real name recognition.

Definitely Maybe and Morning Glory as well as the The Masterplan and some of Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants are great albums.

Boring live but I keep going to see them anyway. I imagine a few festivals and only the biggest arenas here. I know it's a different world now but their last LA show at Staples Center in 2008 was 2/3 full at best.
