Thank you for all of this! So those 23 were not from any previous sessions or part of the 100 tracks written about that Watt waa given to listen to. Well I guess at least 2 of the 23 were done earlier since Charlie drums on them.
It seems they broke out of the adding to Mick's demos way of working! Thankfully as you describe it, it sounds pretty collaborative.
Correction to my previous post: it would seem, based on a few bits in the recent interviews, that Watt was brought in between NYC and L.A.

I took it to mean that there were 23 and then they reached back and grabbed 2 Charlie songs from previous sessions. That means that they only took 10 from the new sessions so 13 left.

- that timeline is getting murkier with each interview...didn't they "reset" in Jamaica in December and get together with Watt in January in L.A. and knock out 23 tunes ? ;-)) it started in November - actually Keith was in there in October. The "reset" started with the Jamaica sessions in February 2022. Just demo-ing new songs: Mick, Keith, Steve, Matt.
Over the summer they figured they needed to actually "reset" with a new producer, got Andrew. After the tour in late September they went in Electric Lady - that's when Andy Watt arrived and when the sessions started. October saw them transitioning from NYC to L.A. after a short break, but Mick didn't arrive until early November. December 9 is the approximate date the sessions ended in L.A. (This was fairly well documented over the pages on IORR.)
The overdub sessions were held in Nassau in January. But NO, the sessions did not "start" in December. That is becoming, unfortunately, an urban myth that because of one Mick misspoken or badly articulated bit is becoming internet fact (see the unfortunate Wiki article).
To summarize: the 23 tunes were done from between late September/early October to January, at the latest early November to January. Minus the final mixing in February.

Unfortunately, I don't know that I would assume that. Mick brought in his demos or song ideas in Jamaica, such as Angry, as we now know. And Keith is quoted that when they made the decision to set a deadline, he said to Mick "If you think you have enough material that you want to sing, then I’m right there behind you", which implies Mick already had his demos, or ideas about songs, and that that was the main source. Let's still hope from that starting point that Keith brought his input to those ideas, which I would guess would be the case to varying degrees depending on the track.Quote

27 minutes, great, started watching it and we have a first scoop, Mick mixed it remotely with Watt and the mixer. Some insight on Angry too.

Well the interview was off to a good start but unfortunately failed to go very deep and that question about his lifetime relationship with Macca was pretty awkward.
I don't get it, why not talk MORE about the new album, run down the tracks for example, sounds easy enough, but no, these guys (and that one couldn't stop going on about all the research had had done to make maters worse) always have to go for the fluff, the clichés and get Mick to say things he's said a hundred times before, "I like to go out dancing", etc...The only vaguely "new" side discussion was about mortality but what are you going to say about that that's interesting ? Oh and Mick has younger friends...not only "friends" too ;-)
So to sum up what we actually learned about the new album :
- Mick mixed it remotely (from the Caribbean) with Watt in LA and the mixer in NC, Keith not involved apparently
- Keith had him shorten the verse on WWW
- the next album is 2/3rds done, wait, wasn't it 75% the last time ?

The picture disc is only available on the Stones webstore and at Bravado, correct? I have to get the normal Litho from their store, and it's disgusting what they charge for postage!!! Almost as much as the darn litho!!
