There are 12 new tracks cut with Steve Jordan, and 5/6 tracks cut with Charlie;so there are 17/18 tracks ready; 12 will be on the "standard" version of new album, and the remaining 5/6 tracks on a deluxe and/or superdeluxe edition hopefully with a bonus dvd/bluray about the "making of"...

There are some post in the "new album" thread a couple of months ago that talk about it:12 tracks with Steve and 5/6 with Charlie.. I don't remember who has written it...Maybe Georgelicks or Mpj

Hm, strange, as there weren't that many tracks ASCAP-registered (only 11, or perhaps 12). We'll have to wait and see smiling smiley

I found the post by georgelicks that mailexile67 refers to. It's from December 2022.

[iorr.org]

"according to sources they have at least 5-6 GREAT songs with Charlie on it, that was stuff recorded in 2018-2019 and about a dozen of new cuts with Steve."

I remember that. However, this was a while ago, maybe before they decided on the tracks for inclusion on the album?

That's very likely. I don't see 18 tracks on this bad boy.

I think that 5/6 bonus tracks will be on a deluxe or superdeluxe edition...My two cents

Has there been any official statement about the track names? - I'm wondering if "Morning Joe cues" could be "Morning Joe blues"...........

Only great-awesome songs, best album ever.

Seriously, given the wait, I can't wait to discover this album. And to see how Steve sounds and whether or not it differs from Charlie's groove.

Has there been any official statement about the track names?

Half-officially also by French rights-society SACEM - [Repertoire.Sacem.fr] . Seems to be the same as at the American rights-society ASCAP - [iorr.org] . The same on German rights-society [www.GEMA.de] .

But there's no 'Morning Joe Cues' on French SACEM and German GEMA. The tracks which can be found there are (sorted by the last 3 digits of the ISWC-Code):

Driving Me Too Hard
Bite My Head Off
Sweet Sounds Of Heaven
Mess It Up
Tell Me Straight
Get Close
Live By The Sword
Angry
Whole Wide World
Depending On You
Dreamy Skies

International Standard Musical Work Code (ISWC) - [en.Wikipedia.org] .

Compare these ISWC-Codes on [www.GEMA.de] :

T-320.710.506-0
T-320.710.514-0
T-320.710.606-3
T-320.710.611-0
T-320.710.612-1
T-320.710.625-6
T-320.710.718-0
T-320.710.735-1
T-320.710.888-7
T-320.710.990-4
T-320.710.999-3

The tracks were registered at GEMA on 21-Aug-2023 and appeared on 28-Aug-2023 at SACEM. The track names are the same as on ASCAP.

If you wanna know what's behind the other ISWC-Codes, you'll need the appropriate check digit. Here's an example:

Track name:
Driving Me Too Hard

ISWC-Code with check digit 0:
T-320.710.506-0

9 digits needed:
320 710 506

weight per digit:
123 456 789

multiply digits x weights, calculate the sum of the weighted digits and add +1:
3+4+0+28+5+0+35+0+54 +1 = 130

calculation of Modulo 10 - [www.CalculatorSoup.com] :
130 mod 10 = 0

subtract 10 minus the mod10 result:
10 - 0 = 10

again calculating Modulo 10:
10 mod 10 = 0

Result = check digit = 0

When taking T-320.710 as the base and adding for example .507-1, .508-2, .509-3, .510-6, .511-7, .512-8, .513-9, .515-1, .516-2, .517-3, .518-4, .519-5, .520-8, .521-9, .522-0, .523-1, .524-2, .525-3, .526-4, .527-5 or .528-6 and then querying the GEMA database, the other tracks are from different artists (some codes are empty) and all were registered by BMG Rights Management on 21-Aug-2023.

Rocky D noted above that ASCAP also has a song written by Keith Richards and Paul Schaefer called “Friday Night Video Cues.” It’s probably just for music played into and out of commercial breaks.

We should be careful about reading anything definitive into that ASCAP list.

What Soldatti had said is we should expect additional tracks to be parsed out between deluxe edition, retailer exclusives, iTunes exclusive, etc. It's not surprising additional bonus tracks are not registered with ASCAP yet. "Under the Radar," "Don't Wanna Go Home," and "Hurricane" all came out within weeks of A BIGGER BANG, but their registration wasn't filed until after the fact. The work that matters is the album. Extra tracks are amended later. It's all with the lawyers regardless so they're protected.

Will be exciting to see whether those will be new tracks, remixes or both.

I am really curious if it’s an album with only Charlie or also with Steve Jordan or a mix. I also read earlier something about a double album one disc Charlie and one disc with Steve.

I can’t wait for the announcement and hear all the new songs

Sure you didn't read that in the new album thread? A double CD Charlie/Steve was a recurring suggestion(/speculation) there.

One of the reasons we should be cautious about the ASCAP list is that, at least as recently as 2020, the Stones used BMI to license their music.

cautious about the ASCAP

But the same is listed on French SACEM. And by German GEMA.

The linked ASCAP list of songs was odd. Forty or so songs, many of them from recent deluxe reissues. Far from comprehensive.

We don’t know anything definitively.

Just wait and see.

Andrew Watt on deluxe reissues along with Jagger-Richards?

By the way, the SACEM listings weren't there on Sat, 26-Aug-2023 when I tried to compare it.

Brute Force (Jordan) was on the Talk Is Cheap Deluxe-release. There were others, too.

Well, just a few days now, and we'll know for sure smiling smiley

What I was referring to was Scarlett, Criss Cross Mind, Brute Force, Mark on Me, etc. It is not the entire Stones catalog. I don’t know what that list is, and neither does anyone else.

When the Stones requested that Donald Trump stop playing their music at campaign events, they partnered with BMI, which licenses their music.

Good info, thank you Irix!

I've been checking the ASCAP website for some days before finding those tracks, but I can't be sure of the date they appeared there.

Registration of these tracks at German GEMA was on 21-Aug-2023. See above. GEMA says btw 'original title' (Originaltitel).

For all we know, they were registered by someone based on the chatter that originated here.
