Perhaps they will introduce the new album in the Hackney Empire Theatre?
There is room in the first weeks of september in their program.

The Hackney Empire theathre has a seating capacity of 1275 people.
Would be nice if the first 750 subscribers to the hackneydiamonds page receive an invite to be there
Some live tracks? Then they need some time for rehearsals a few days before this event.Quote

Maybe the album announcement could be in the Hackney Empire theatre - invited journalists, livestream for all others, plus 3 live tracks, e.g.: first Single, Shattered and Satisfaction. Just an idea.

My guess is that this is a reference to new songs.

Fantastic!!
Today was the day we'd all waited for - album name, even some artwork, and a timeline (announcement early Sept, album October)
Love the title, 'Hackney Diamonds'. They decided against 'Englands Oldest Hitmakers'.
It is happening! They're back

We don't even know for 100 % if the album is finally going to be called "Hackney Diamonds".
Somewhat unlikely that Universal Music registered a website, set up an eMail & telephone service and let create an advertising artwork just for an album's working title.

Just thought of something. They certainly have the marketing budget to use a dummy name. That's something to consider.

Let's hope the album is worth the 18-year wait!

This title makes me hopeful. It's far more evocative than Honk or Grrr or A Bigger Bang or Gotta Get a Grip or even Living in a Ghost Town.

Many possibilities - we'll see it when the album is out.

Simon Murfitt, senior editor of Hackney Gazette and Islington Gazette, said: “It’s very exciting to have such a massive band announcing their new album in our papers, especially in such a cryptic manner.
“I have already had several emails requesting back copies and no doubt the papers will become collectors items for music fans.
“I’ve always said The Rolling Stones have good taste when it comes to their local news and this just proves it!"

The name Hackney Diamonds does not appear on the leaked artwork, but was mentioned by the artwork designer.
