It is like life: on top isn't always the most fun. And when you get older, life changes and so does perspective. When I looked at the faces after the Waldbühne show last summer - people were so happy. Love all over. Certainly - the Stones were on top that evening from them. And that is what counts.

My father-in-law is the same age between Mick and Keith - he'll be 80 before Keith is.

He's in fantastic shape.

He wonders how long he'll be whatever. That's understandable. The window of "enjoyment" is closing quickly.

As it is for The Rolling Stones.

Well, when a person hits 70 the health issues kick in for SOME people. You can’t escape it. Yet for some people there are none. I have a friend here she loves Mick. She loves his silk shirts. Anyhoo, she will be 80 this winter, yet not a thing wrong with her except she has early Alzheimer’s. She’s only seen the band once in 72 she recalls. She hopes they will come next year July. I said maybe after Feb of South America they might do N America one last time July- September. We will see. Hopefully. Long live the Stones.

Mick just posted a video to Instagram of him playing guitar in studio over a track of which I can assume is the new album. I don’t underestimate their love for creating and touring, my hopes are still sky high. I’m going to see Buddy Guy for the 3rd time this tour, he’s 86. He hits some sour notes on guitar but his voice is still great and the energy and passion is still there..I see that with the Stones, they want to entertain. They love it and so they will continue until they can’t, and I will be there! Stay positive!

I think we forget, not having a 2023 Tour probably pains them even more than us! Gotta let the caged animal out! A new album late 2023/early 2024 would certainly fill the Stones Fix we all need!

I seem to recollect very similar points being made ten years back. 'A new album for the anniversary would be nice' Etc. We did get two new tracks of course. At the time I thought that was paltry, Now I think just how comparatively generous it actually was. A WHOLE two tracks. Wow!

Back to the tour! Thing is now, EVERY delay uses up a rapidly diminishing number of future dates...

Yup, and lucky ole me was one of them !!

And if I never see 'em onstage ever again, at least I was there on 3rd August 2022, and both they and I were "happy happy happy" !!

If a new tour ever happens, how much do you guys think PIT tickets will be? I doubt they will still be $500 in 2024. I’m guessing they’ll go up at least $100. I don’t care because I’ll get LDs, but just wondering…

I'd imagine that both the most expensive FOS tickets and the LDs/nosebleeds will not change much, but a sort of "pricing wave" will go through the seated floor tickets towards the back. That would be plausible deniability

I'm expecting a $200 increase all around.

well, at least in Germany they lowered the prices for pit tickets in 2022 compared to 2017/18. In 2017/18 they were 800 Euros while the were 530 Euros in 2022.

But at the same time they had increased in Germany the prices for the "Golden Circle" in 2022 compared to 2017/18 - so no money was lost.

Stones in UK 2018 was also dynamically priced by Ticketmaster (Platinum Tickets).

I paid $9.00 in 1975. The Buffalo Aud.

That's about 50 dollars in todays value.

Something to think about.

I paid $6 for a floor seat row 15 in 1972 LA Forum..
So a 50% increase to your ticket in 3 years!

There will still be face value tickets for those who are patient - or lucky early on in the sale. (And those who know how to search for them.)

It's true that dynamic pricing is nothing new for the Stones, in the US they have used it at least since the 2015 Zip Code tour.

Without Charlie they should lower the prices, not raise them. Wish they would stop.

How much will Stones ticket prices rise ?


They will rise astronomically ... think of a number ($$$$$$) with lots of zeros on the end of it ! Think Musk, think Bezos, think Gates !

So, sell everything you have - NOW ! House, car, children, cat, dog, grandmother, fake death, cash in life insurance, rob bank ... and so on !

Then on the other hand, if they don't tour again ............

That's part of it, but not the only determining factor. But yeah, logistical + production costs have certainly gone up.
