"Jagger says former Stones bassist Bill Wyman and guitarist Mick Taylor would not be making appearances again, as they did with the band’s 50th".
That's disappointing.
That is very disappointing.
“The tour’s called Sixty, but apart from that we’re not going to do too much. I think that’s enough.”
sounds like they might Hard Rock Casino this whole tour (nothing noteworthy or ceremonious)
You can’t be serious thinking that “Hard Rock Casino” is a slight in any way. Or the show itself wasn’t noteworthy? And could you tell me when this band in last 3 decades has been doing anything remotely “ceremonial” for themselves?
Just the fact they performed in a small setting to end a US Leg and maybe “Unfiltered” in of itself is a statement by the band.
Giving us a shorter set up close and personal was just fine for 98% of us.
I was happy to watch camera in pocket except for a few quick pix so I could soak up what likely would be last small theater show I’d see. It’s been a long time since the Beacon Shows 15 years or so ago.
They put “Unfiltered” to bed and gave US fans a good show and can’t imagine many thinking that isn’t “noteworthy”.
They did 40’ rolling out songs/venues/albums us long timers wanted. They followed up with 50’ (used a pit and MT/BW albeit short) which was fine and became obvious the “celebrating” wasn’t their thing at all. Not to mention the behind the scenes stuff that had to have happened. So why on earth would anyone expect this band to do more than a marketing Tshirt blitz out of 60 years cause doing it onstage obvious is not their style.

The positive farmer says, "It's raining. The crops will really grow!"
The negative farmer says, "It'll probably rain too much and flood the crops."
The positive farmers takes the negative farmer duck hunting.
They are in their boat and the positive farmer gets a duck.
He sends his new Labrador Retriever to get the duck.
He says to the negative farmer, "Watch this..."
The dog walks on the water and brings back the duck!
The negative farmer says, "That dog can't even swim!"
Tulsa King is surprisingly good.Quote

I like the novels and the TV series also. There is a recent collection of the loosely related novellas and short stories including one with Jackson Lamb- Standing by the Wall. Might as well mention here Stalone's Tulsa King is fun too.

Is it my imagination, or did a new version of the song roll over the end credits of the last episode of season 3?
It sure sounded like Mick was having fun. And it’s still a great song, and an exceptionally well-done TV theme song.
