I bought the first edition, but somehow never read much of it. It just didn’t have any magic to it.

Maybe they've added the FFSO tracks ;-)

It's unlikely there's a lot of interesting stuff for die-hards like us in that kind of book...In fact so much detailed and "multiple-checked" info is shared on IORR that you're more likely to come across inaccurate info that quickly discredits the whole effort. I really find that annoying...I recently listened to Philippe Manoeuvre's (Stones expert who's met the Stones dozens of times) audiobook and was "shocked" when I spotted inaccurate info (claimed Mick had tried to walk through the crowd in 1994, when it was in 1988).

Hang on...maybe just the font is bigger, so they've had to expand the size of it because of that?

Would make sense as most fans are old and can't read small type.

Anyone with me on this?!

I wait for the virtual reality version of the book. I expect it to come out soon after the Stones decide to stop writing altogether in 2030 and focus on live shows only. I'll be 81/82 by that time and won't need fixed fonts then, but ... virtual reality cool smiley

And since most of us are beginning to suffer from dementia, and can't even remember what Rolling Stones is, or what the frontcover of the book says, after opening it....
the next edition should just contain pictures of flower fields, rabbits and smiling children, to put us in a good mood

When I first read '2030' I thought, yeah right, 20+ years from now.

Then I realized, "holy crap, that's in 8 years!".

I still remember when 2001 was some mystical time in the future.

I remember when 1984 was the scary future!

Your post was 'very visual' and put me in a good mood.

There is some interesting info but the book is not well written. There's too much empty praise rather than real analysis e.g. the contributions of various band members to specific tracks are frequently described as 'excellent' or 'very good' which doesn't say a while lot.

Maybe the’ve added the deluxe versions.
I’ve got the previous pressing. The first glance was good, but when you look it more closely there’s way too much question marks and inaccuracies. It’s a pity since a book like this with proper info would be great to have.

One of their official songs was left off the first one - can't recall which one - something from "Flowers". Maybe they've included it now?

A book of that magnitude is rarely perfect. Let's hope they've updated it with songs since, and any that were omitted perviously.

This is quite more than just one track...

Maybe they changed some of the credits. Like Brian playing the Bo Diddley rhythm guitar on Mona and not Keith. Keith playing lead guitar on Grown Up Wrong and What a Shame and not Brian on slide guitar. His Majesty has corrected some of these already.
