That sounds pretty logical to me Prof. The past 6 months I have been going non-stop with promoting this petition on various social media sites. I don't mind extending this a little longer, but it would be helpful to me if other Stones fans pushed for it again on other platforms as well to give it more credibility. It would help out a lot and be much appreciated.

Of course official photos are very expensive because the companies earn money with them. The only way to get a picture at a decent price would be to find someone who sells you a photograph he shot himself (i.e. the copyright) for publication for a few bucks. I do not think that there would be legal problems in this case although thaink pictures may have been prohibited at the concerts itself it would most probably be impossible to sue somoene for breaching this regulation after 50+ years.Quote

This is the hardest question for me in the last 25 years
PS- I spent half of my day today speaking to a representative at Getty Images in an effort to procure a photo of the Stones in concert for the petition. There was so much red tape and cost associated to try to make this a reality that I had to go lay down to alleviate the headache I had....In the end, it was a waste.
That's exactly what I meant just translate "Getty Images" into "Getthe Image" and make millions
This week has been quite the education for me! But at the same time, I'm a very tenacious, patient and persistent individual, and just like the Professor alluded to above, there are ways that you can navigate around obstacles (LOL)!
PS- let's get this sucker to at least 1500 signatures!

The Stones 60th Anniversary European Tour is coming to a close with Stockholm and Berlin left on the calendar.
Celebrate their 60th year as a working band and support our petition to release what is arguably one of the Stones finest moments in concert (and long overdue): the COMPLETE MSG 69 recordings.

I've had a few inquiries sent to me over the last couple months from fellow Stones fans that I wish to respond to. And to set the record straight, yes I had to pay Getty Images for the use of the picture for the petition. It was not free, nor did they grant me permission out of the kindness of their heart (LOL)! If you go to the end of the petition, there is a disclaimer addressing this. Hope this clears up any confusion...

I'd like to formally say thank you to roller99 who inhabits this site and writes for Goldmine for publishing the interview you did with me re: publicizing the petition.
As of today, we are down 36 signatures to reach our current goal of 1500 signatures.

This should also include the Nov 26th Baltimore show as that was recorded by the band and is the source of Love in Vain on Ya Yas. (And maybe SFM too)
Those four shows (Baltimore + the three NYC shows) represent the peak of rock and roll.

I went on the petition site just now to check numbers and we are at 1564 signatures. I'm thinking that the Goldmine article/interview stirred up some signatures which is great!
We are at a pivotal point and I need to throw this out to the group. The intention was to get enough signatures and then send it to significant personnel at Abkco and the Stones organization.
Soooo, do we wait to see if we get more signatures (hopefully to get to 2000 which would really be a nice number but would take a while to get there) or send it in as is?
