Indeed, and the usual suspects have a remarkably hard time giving credit to the great versions – like Street Fighting Man in London, The Worst in Dublin, Fool To Cry in London, Sweet Virginia in Southampton.
I guess it's more fun to highlight the few poor moments your favourite band give you...

Spot on, and it is the monochord that is really really something...

Concerning SMU , Keith no longer likes this as an opener so he makes a mess of the intro on purpose to send a message, he has done this before onthe secondboth Hyde Park gigs in 2013.
Love Keith for it, who gives a shit about one bum note anyway, go play the record if you want perfection, this is the Stones live, mistakes are part of their charm, they all make mistakes all the time, so what.

They shouldn’t open with SMU.
Since Hyde Park, everytime they opened with it, Keith got it wrong.
Hyde Park I, Hyde Park II and if I remember correctly Berlin 2014. This is now the 4th time that I know of.

And yet, funny enough he hardly ever makes a mistake on the intro to SMU when its played further into the set, i rest my case
And yes i agree BowieStone, it should be dropped as an opener, so many better choices to open with this year.

I can hardly sit down, what with all these horseshoes up my arse. First, the weather cleared beautifully! Then my Lucky Dips landed me in Pit B. Then the boys were on their game! Sweet Virginia was a treat, and it was just a great night. AND, when my hotel seemed buggered up beyond redemption, it turns out one of the staff is an IORR lurker and sorted it brilliantly. Happy, happy, happy!
Lol, IORRians everywhere!
Cheers, STG!
Thanks for all your pics, Cristiano!

Yes, but it’s not deliberate. If he doesn’t like it at that spot, he should tell Mick. He’ll change it, no problem. Mick wants to enter with an enthousiastic crowd, not a laughing or confused crowd.
It’s just a bit of nerves at the beginning of a show.
Other than that, I’m pretty impressed with Keith this tour.
He’s come a long way.
