a question for the fans at iorr

given the choice of live shows which would you pick-

1.watching the beatles rooftop show from 10 feet away

2.seeing led zeppelin at the fillmore leaning against the stage.

3.a front row ticket to the best night of the rolling stones 1972 tour

you can only pick one.you can only watch the beatles and leave, not talk to them.
the zep show would be the fillmore west in 1969.opinions may vary on the stones 72 tour as to which was the best night.whatever it actually was, that's the one you're at.

1972 is probably my least favorite "Pre-Vegas" era Stones tour, but still way better than Led Zep 69. Rooftop was freezing cold and not a great performance + Beatles just don't excite me.

Beatles, of course. That was an historic one-off event.

I tossed this off as a "softball" question at first.
I mean, who here wouldn't pick The Stones, right?!

But the more I think about it, the more difficult it becomes...
I would pick Led Zeppelin.

Beatles #1

I'm torn between the next pick...

...but seeing as I've seen the Stones many times, would have to pick Led Zeppelin at the Fillmore.

3-1-2 but it is really difficult to pick from these items without changing your mind frequently.

If I wasn't seeing the Stones, I would rather see the Allman Brothers Band with Duane and Berry or Jimi Hendrix.

Rooftop of course. 1972 would be heaven, any night, but i gotta say rooftop because it's Beatles, live, the last time. Would i rather ser the Stones in 1972 or 1966? 1966 because of Brian.

Even if I were not a Beatles fan, I'd choose the rooftop concert because...

...I'd be in 1969 London!

After leaving without talking to any band members, I'd drop in at the London headquarters of Hammer Film Productions, see about getting some jobs as a film extra, just enough cash to tide me over while I write screenplay after screenplay of all the movies I know but that no one has ever heard of yet.

Then I'd just coast on my journey through time, eventually logging into this thread on April 3, 2017, to tell you all how it went. Of course, I would be logging in as Sir Stonehearted. smoking smiley

I'll take the Beatles, and then go to the second best show on the stones tour if that's an option. Can't be too much difference between best and second best show!

I would take Stones 72 but given the choice, I would take Stones 65 Paris or 66 Albert Hall also because of Brian!

Of the choices I'd choose Stones, Beatles, Zep in that order. Of the bands in general, I'd choose Zep, Stones, Beatles if I could see any at their peak.
