Thank you Chuck Berry,
you made the world I live in a lot more more fun to live in.
Thank you for rock and roll

I dont imagine you will rest at all...
I imagine a place where you crossed over... and so many...
so very very many are so happy to see you... and delighted you brought your guitar with you
and you are happy to see them, but before you play, you go into the managers Office... and then you...
ROCK AND ROLL!!!!

Sad news for rock'n'roll. There is no way to underestimate the significance and influence of mr. Berry to rock music. He was also the most common factor between two biggest rock bands of all time; while the Beatles looked the 'white' side of Berry, the Stones took the 'black' side of him, the Chigaco stuff. In Berry they were one and the same.

RIP mr. Rock'n'Roll

Feeling a little sad today, he has meant so much for the music we all love.
I am privileged to have seen him a few times since 1999 and will cherish those moments.

So happy to have seen him in 2008 (along with Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor) in Amsterdam. Great memories.

It was a big concert dream for me, for seeing Chuck Berry live in concert. I had the chance on a tour with Jerry Lee Lewis & Little Richard in 1998. He was the headliner and the best of the 3. He was absolute fantastic.

RIP Chuck Berry

The architect of modern music is dead. I suspect we will never see the likes of one man who changed music so much as Chuck again in our lifetime. God bless you King Of Rock'n'Roll. We salute you. RIP and safe journey to wherever your next mission takes you.

Re: RIP Chuck Berry

And just early yesterday I happened to be listening to 1st Stones album. "Carol" came on, and I was thinking just how incredible those lyrics are. A tunesmith.
"don't the music intrigue you when they gather a crowd", or
"every time you make the scene you find the joint is jammed".
But then he will throw these zingers in there with a totally different timing "You cant dance I know you would you could".
So many of these sentences are so wonderful. One could easily go on and on. Quoting "Memphis", or "You Never Can Tell".

The pioneer is gone. Rest Rock in peace!
A sad day for music.

I´ve seen him twice in 2005. The first show was
fantastic. I even got me an autograph. He signed
it inside his car. I mean - he was the driver! grinning smiley
And then he went into the night. And it was Hamburg,
not St. Louis!
