Eric Burdon was/maybe still is a great blues singer, but that was as a member of the Animals and part of his band's hype in the early-mid '60's.
I know he's still active touring small venues, but he's kind of a thing of the distant past these days.
Personally I think Mick is better, but he doesn't always hit the 'sweet spot' as proven on a couple of these recent cover tunes.
It's all a matter of taste, but overall and generally speaking, in the big picture Mick is the winner amongst the two.
