So you are saying this is not real?

Only logical explanation for the absence of Foghat.

That is exactly what I was thinking. Them and Journey. And Lynyrd Skynyrd would be a tribute band that would have to be there also. If it was real.

Might have been interesting to see a James Taylor/Blue Oyster Cult collaboration!

Did you read the article? There's zero possibility it was real.

That'd almost be smart. Don't even attempt to match last year and set the bar so low that if you continue it can only be an improvement.

That is actually a great April Fools joke though.

Pretty funny, if you read the article and click on the link at the end it takes you a April Fool's Day page.

LOL! That'd be BRUTAL to endure, Blue Oyster Cult aside.

Lol if I'd love to be dead wrong on this one. I said never and many will/should hold me to that.

Re: OT: Desert Trip 2017

I heard about it on the radio. DJ said they were offered big bucks again this year. So who knows. Maybe plant / page.

Hell for all we know it's a new album or something

Would be cool to see other bands with that on their web page

For me the big three would be zeppelin / U2 / the police Then just fill in

From there

Very interesting...it would fit last years announce date perfectly. I think it
could be. This would be big. However, I'm surprised nothing has leaked. Last
year there were rumors about the stellar lineup. This year not so much.

I still say no way.

Although as a staunch Plant supporter, there's no reason to post that and be coy UNLESS its a Zep reunion. Maybe its for something else, but this looks like a tease and if its not Zep I hope he has a reason for that. Cause otherwise its just plain rude.

Could simply be an announcement for new solo tour dates, or another solo album.

But..........................you never know....oops I said never! winking smiley

Re: OT: Desert Trip 2017

Blonde would be cool. Eagles / mac already doing the east coast west coast thing. Tom petty already in a calif festival

I personally hope not on the kinks. Just not for me

I say, no way, Zep not having a Desert reunion.

I found this about Robert Plant's cryptic message:
"Plant has been working on his new album for months, and last week he was spotted near Electric Lady Studios in New York, where he finished his 2014 album.

English musician Seth Lakeman said in an interview in January that he plays viola on Plant’s new album. “This’ll be the first time I’ll have worked with him and I’m a massive fan,” he said.

The rumor was Zeppelin was offer 14 million last year. And that was before they

Had any idea how successful and profitable desert trip one was going to be

I would not be surprise if Zeppelin was offered 20 million for desert trip 2

Yeah, but money has never been the issue with them. I can't believe they've never been offered that or more in the past. I thought Richard Branson 10 years ago offered them an insane amount. I don't think money was ever the case so I wouldn't think they'd do it for that. I still think they won't, but if they did it'd be because Robert had a change of heart (doubt he has), not that he was holding out for more.

"In my heart of hearts… I do believe we will play together again.
It remains to be seen if it will be in public or privately, but I do think we will play again."

I seem to remember some of the bands who were in the lineup last year posting
teaser messages against a black screen on their sites prior to the official announcement. Also, I found an article on the internet stating "Several well placed sources have confirmed that Robert Plant has agreed to reform Led Zeppelin for Desert Trip". If true, then we should probably find out this week.

All I found is this from website 'Feelnumb (useful useless info)'
Led Zepellin

Posted by Raul.

"I have some well placed sources in the industry telling me that Robert Plant has agreed to reform Led Zeppelin for Desert Trip"

He continues on with his speculation, but nothing of any real substance.
