I thought of it more as standing by Don Was/ Keith feels loyal and respectful to him.

I was just making a play on the word "feel." I know Don is very close with Keith and Keith has always been loyal to friends until he feels betrayed.

Oh, I thought you meant groping as in grasping for something to say.

Compilations, from what I've read, tend to go out of print mainly for one reason - they stop selling.

I looked on Spotify and as of today, the only compilation I saw in the album section was FLOWERS and the following hits comps available under compilations are the 3 1960s singles comps that are not BIG HITS etc but the years, JUMP BACK, THE SINGLES YEARS (LONDON COLLECTION), MADE IN THE SHADE, METAMORPHOSIS, both HOT ROCKS and BIG HITS.

I don't have Apple Music so I don't know if anything is on it. Nor do I bother with other streaming sites.

True but there are any Greatist Hits albums which continue to sell, Pink Floyd Eagles ABBA, Fleetwood Mac spring to mind. Cant all be just Christmas sales.
The 2018 album best sellers lists have a healthy number of compilations, maybe not as many as previously though.
Not sure if the 'Now' compliations still continue. They were of various artists of course but sold in huge numbers in the UK.

Well, HOT ROCKS has never gone out of print that I'm aware of. Everything from Rolling Stones Records onwards is though except JUMP BACK I think.

I just bought a copy of Jump Back in May at Walmart.

Would seem almost likely at this point that they will be putting finishing touches on some songs or perhaps the album cool smiley

Still have a feeling they're going to drop a new album or at least an EP before this tour..
Hopefully similar to B&L, where they'll play a song or two from it.

I saw the full video clip earlier today, and amidst talking about his joy of painting, Ronnie briefly said "recording in L.A next week" without mention of the Stones or any other details.

- Could be solo material?
- Maybe guesting on someone else's album? (maybe Jerry Lee Lewis again?)
- Maybe this is where the Stones start from scratch which he mentioned a while back?
- Or miraculously finishing a Stones single?

After a week of storms, the weather has cleared nicely and looks to stay this way for quite some time (though a 30% chance of rain on Feb 1st).
If it's the complete band recording, hopefully the pleasant atmosphere and vibe of SoCal is conducive to some productivity in the studio. On the other hand, lots of distractions/attractions to keep them away from work; nightlife, theater, restaurants, museums, Hollywood schmoozing, Disneyland, surfing, skiing, etc. (lol), and then there's Mick's young girlfriend in Beverly Hills...wonder when was the last time he saw her?

I do believe much work remains to be done...but i hope i'm wrong!

Keith: At the moment the Stones are going into the studio next week and so I'm preparing for that, for a few days, to see what we've got. 'Cause we've been working away for - over the year Mick and I have been together several times. And a big sound that we've put together, quite an accumulation of stuff, so we're going to take it in the studio with the best of the boys and see what happens.

Trying to figure out what's ugly about the term...
Most every song or album would pass through a stage where it would need "finishing touches" it would seem.. even a live album cool smiley
