Does anyone know it the new Blue and lonesome deluxe version will be available in the USA through Amazon?

The answer is finally yes. (Although much more expensive than my Bull Moose sales price)

You're not kidding about the price difference. I've never used Bull Moose before. Are they reliable? A savings of $16 (or close to 33%) is enough to make me try somebody new.

Thanks for any advice or feedback you can provide.

Bull Moose is legit - nice little chain in NH and Maine, usually with great prices.

Peace,
Mr DJA

Thanks DEmerson. Gotta love a viable alternative to "the big boxes". I still feel sad when I think about my last NH music connection having gone out of business a few years ago... "Daddy's Junky Music Store" was a wonderful store for many a NE musician (like me!). Time for me to go place an order!

Thanks again DEmerson!

Peace,
Mr DJA

You will love Bull Moose. I used to go to their Salem NH location which is a royal pain in the arse for me. But to my surprise they recently opened a new store in Keene NH. A new music store opening in 2016 and 30 minutes from my house, never so that coming…..>grinning smiley< And their hours are ridiculously great plus they do on line orders.

3 days in the studio; lowest cost for a rolling stones's recording. There are cover songs so they won't make money on copyrights but if they sell a lot of it it could be financially a good deal.
Rock and roll,
Mops

Talking about copyrights, I guess they'll have to pay for the use of songs written by others.
Does anyone have any information how these things are arranged?
If I am correct the rights run for 70 years after the death of the original song writer.

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

It might depend on when they were written/copyrighted?

At least at Amazon Japan:

There're some more merchandise items at Amazon Japan, simply search for "Rolling Stones Blue & Lonesome".

If you only need the Blue Tongue logo, it's here: [iorr.org] .

In any event this song are covered by compulsory license, so the authors are getting their due for the public performances and/or phonomechanical exploitations.

Isn't there a "50 years rule" as well?

Just Your Fool on the world charts so far:

#89 Belgium (Flanders)
#134 France
#80 Scotland
#28 Mexico (English Airplay)

#28 Billboard Rock Digital Songs (4,000 copies sold)

#1 Billboard Blues Digital Songs
[www.billboard.com]

It didn't chart anywere else so far, no UK Top 200 Singles at all and no Airplay chart in the US (it's taking off on AAA but it's far from the main Top 30, around #70 or so)

It looks like new Stones music is not essential for general audience.

It's not new Stones music. It's a cover sticking for 100% to the original. And the original is better.

Of course it will outsell the originals, it only needs a few thousand copies.

The first single went off the radar to almost anyone, Universal is releasing another single tomorrow hoping for a better reception, but without a video on YouTube it wont go anywere too.

disappointing considering both new tunes Stones played live were awesome and the recorded version of Just a Fool is vintage Stones....

This is for the fans (or so I like to believe anyway). A pure blues cover-album won't be a million-seller, imo.

Then again, Aerosmith's blues album, Honkin' On Bobo, reached #5 on Billboard 200, and the single Baby, Please Don't Go made the top 10 in the US rock charts.

No chance for a Blues-cover to enter the charts these days.
I don´t understand why they have released it all.
Who cares for the single? The song will be on the album anyway and until release you can hear the song everywhere on the net.
The album will sell quite well, I think. (but surely not as much as an album of originals would)

It was a different era, Aerosmith was still very popular by 2003-2004 (Jaded was a Hot 100 Top 10 hit in 2001) and they were hot on Rock radio.

Their blues album debuted at #5 with 160k, 8 years later their latest studio album debuted at #5 with 60k and has sold 130k to date.

Time wants for no one.
