More Hot Rocks
Does anyone know it the new Blue and lonesome deluxe version will be available in the USA through Amazon?
The answer is finally yes. (Although much more expensive than my Bull Moose sales price)
You're not kidding about the price difference. I've never used Bull Moose before. Are they reliable? A savings of $16 (or close to 33%) is enough to make me try somebody new.
Thanks for any advice or feedback you can provide.
Bull Moose is legit - nice little chain in NH and Maine, usually with great prices.
Peace,
Mr DJA

Thanks DEmerson. Gotta love a viable alternative to "the big boxes". I still feel sad when I think about my last NH music connection having gone out of business a few years ago... "Daddy's Junky Music Store" was a wonderful store for many a NE musician (like me!). Time for me to go place an order!
Thanks again DEmerson!
Peace,
Mr DJA

Talking about copyrights, I guess they'll have to pay for the use of songs written by others.
Does anyone have any information how these things are arranged?
If I am correct the rights run for 70 years after the death of the original song writer.

It might depend on when they were written/copyrighted?

In any event this song are covered by compulsory license, so the authors are getting their due for the public performances and/or phonomechanical exploitations.

It looks like new Stones music is not essential for general audience.

It's not new Stones music. It's a cover sticking for 100% to the original. And the original is better.

But will they outsell the originals?

Then again, Aerosmith's blues album, Honkin' On Bobo, reached #5 on Billboard 200, and the single Baby, Please Don't Go made the top 10 in the US rock charts.

It was a different era, Aerosmith was still very popular by 2003-2004 (Jaded was a Hot 100 Top 10 hit in 2001) and they were hot on Rock radio.
Their blues album debuted at #5 with 160k, 8 years later their latest studio album debuted at #5 with 60k and has sold 130k to date.
Time wants for no one.

At least at Amazon Japan:
[www.amazon.co.jp] - [translate.google.com] , [www.amazon.co.jp] - [translate.google.com] .
There're some more merchandise items at Amazon Japan, simply search for "Rolling Stones Blue & Lonesome".
If you only need the Blue Tongue logo, it's here: [iorr.org] .
