Having heard Gazza's "Blue & Lonesome - The Originals" playlist on Spotify, I can easily say which track I look forward to the most. That's the track Blue & Lonesome. It has that vibe that The Stones always do very, very well. The open atmosphere, the nasty licks, the echoes in the dark and all the other great things that usually make up a track like that. A prime example of how good that can get is the Stones' version of Still A Fool (It's on some bootlegs). A track like that has one of the most important things that makes a good Stones track, namely the room to maneuver your silence. One of the things that makes the Stnes great, and Keith especially, is knowing when to shut up. That adds tension and an unexpected build-up from nothing. Blue & Lonesome (The track) has all those things, and the only bad thing is that I have to wait until December to hear it.

I'm pretty sure the Stones can afford someone to design a great album cover for them. The one they went with is dreadful. Wow. It's like they didn't care. Hopefully the music will be better.

Maybe it was inspired by how long it took them to record this album only converted into minutes.

No not penned by Lil Walter ...

Well that sucks. I was going by the booklet on Chess Record's Essential Little Walter compilation from 1993. It states that all songs written by Walter Jacobs except as noted. Those particular songs, including 'Juke', which he did write have no songwriter listed, while most of the other songs do. Freakin' Chess Brothers! Ripping off the white man again!

Love the new logo which obviously hints at the new Blues album.

But will this be the album cover?

I seriously hope not...

No I think it is supposed to look like the dark, blue stage lighting before a song begins. We will get new information very soon.

I could picture a nice sepia toned photo of the band gathered together in a dusty old Chicago juke joint with their instruments in mid song.

Britain...(imo).....the round red sign with a white bar on it (top left), is the same as a 'No Entry' sign in the UK.........and those railings and brownish buildings definitely look Victorian....and the green box is the same a telephone exchange boxes in the uk too.........and the bobbly pavement/sidewalk ....we have identicle ones to those too, to help blind people............... (I'd say somewhere in London..........

I'm hoping that there will be one or two UK gigs before Xmas but I doubt it. Can't wait for this new album though.

I would guess next Friday maybe a good date to drop the single
