Here's a link to the norwegian festival. By clicking the button «KJØP BILLETTER» you'll be able to purchase tickets one day prior to everyone else, it says..

Marcus and Martinius warming up for the Stones? Don't make any sense to me. The venue will be packed with kids 8-14 years. Unless they play on two different dates of course. But still it's too absurd to even imagine that those kids will perform on the same stage as the greatest rock and roll band in the world.

The festival is two days: July 1 and 2.

bv- apologies for a totally off topic question but were the Stones actually close to playing Red Rocks in 2015? If so, are you aware of the story and able to share?

many festival organisers will start to write that they are planning to host a very important band, but i think that many of them are talking about Guns'n'Roses

Let's just wait and see. Was hoping for the Arena di Verona myself but that's a dream that is not going to happen, I'm afraid.

Camp Nou would be a fantastic venue for The Stones.

Hopefully some of the great football stadia in the UK will follow.

Wembley, of course, but it would be great to see them at Old Trafford as well.

I can't see why they would play outside London in the U.K.
London is in a league of its own when it comes to cities in the U.K.
People can fly to London from anywhere in the U.K. in an hour
No need for the Stones to go up north

Nate thumbs up

Typical Londoncentric attitude!

There is life outside of the capital city and most other Acts recognise this.
It would be like saying they need only perform in Paris (for France), Madrid (for Spain), NYC for the Eastern seaboard or Sydney(for Australia)

NYC is not the capital, though winking smiley

Nor Sydney

But it would be a special place for a DVD.

My brother had a brief chat with one of the Stones' 'permanent' crew members this past weekend in London (passed by on the street). He (will not name him here) simply said 'pay off your credit cards' with a laugh. Something is up. Mine are paid off and I'm negotiating with my wife smiling smiley

How the hell do they get away with doing pretty much the same show for the last twenty years or so and charging rip-off prices for tickets?

Is this a comment from a fan of The Rolling Stones? If you don't like what they do then why are you here, posting on a site dedicated to Stones fans?

Yes, it is a comment from a fan of The Rolling Stones and it's a perfectly valid one.

Fine, but then it is off topic, there is a separate topic where you may complain about the price level of tickets etc:

Ahoy would be nice, but I've heard Ahoy and Mojo don't get along too well anymore.

A decent Norwegian newspaper is hinting at Stones in Oslo next year at the new venue already mentioned, saying the organizer is talking about a band with a fan base from 25 to 75 years. Who else than The Rolling Stones could that be?

Voldsløkka Idrettspark, Oslo, Norway will be a two days event with the largest capacity crowd in Norway ever. The crowd capacity is 60,000 vs 40,000 in the past. The kids will have Sunday July 2 and the tickets went on sale for that event yesterday. A most professional organization. By looking at the site setup it is easy to see what sort of mega act they have booked for the main day Saturday July 1. Keep the date open in your calendar for a while, until we see the tour dates of the Stones. There are only 2-3 acts in the world that will be able to sell out this site at a high price.

The kids will pay NOK 500, 650 and 800. Multiply by 3 and you have the ticket price for the main act on Saturday July 1.

Are we to assume that IF the tour rakes place, there will be a new album out to promote in the summer?
It would seem a bit illogical to release it at the back end of the year. What better promotion than live concerts.

A new album of originals will come out together the European Tour next June, for sure!

The Tour of europe will take place, and yes, the new album will be there.

Great news for 2017. it will be another great Stones year.

-Book and cd of the New Barbarians.
-Ronnies first and second abum will get Deluxe releases
-New Stones album
-European Tour
-From the Vault release Paris 1976
-Eagle Rocks release of the Ole Ole doc.

better start saving some money then.
