Best Stones Guilty Pleasure Song? Waiting On A Friend

What is your favorite Stones guilty pleasure song? For me it's Waiting On A Friend. Here's my write up on it.

What's your Stones guilty pleasure?

I guess I don't understand why that would be a guilty pleasure? It is a great song, nothing to be embarrassed about.

Now I think it is different to say your guilty pleasure is Back to Zero? Which I admit is a guilty pleasure for me. . .

I happen to like Hold On To Your Hat, and Cool Calm & Collected.

Between The Buttons was the first Stones album I bought, at age 18, in 1989, on ABKCO cds. The second Stones album was It's Only Rock n Roll on CBS cds, again at age 18. Steel Wheels was the third, and the following year I saw them at Wembley Stadium.

However, I barely listen to Between The Buttons, yet continue to dig out Only Rock n Roll and Steel Wheels. No accounting for taste, eh ?

Whoa, Waiting on a friend being a guilty pleasure song!!! Honestly, that's one of my favourite Stones songs and I really like the video as well.
Keith looks so darn cool and Mick's doing his hilarious dancing at the bar. I love that stuff. I even visited St Mark's Place and sat on those famous steps when
I was in NYC in 2012, the Physical Graffiti building.

Indian Girl, now THAT'S what I call a proper guilty pleasure song!!!
Whatever floats your boat, I guess...

Classics can't be guilty pleasures, only pleasures.

I do agree it's a good song. Maybe the guilty pleasure part of just comes from the weird 80's fashion and look of the video.

Alright fine, you guys are right, perhaps not a proper guilty pleasure song.

What's your Stones guilty pleasure?

"She Was Hot" with the video of course. Too bad the label-endorsed one that's on YT has been uglily sped-up...

God, I never think of the official video for any Rolling Stones' song...interesting.

My guilty pleasure song is Cherry-o Baby. It's joyous and smells like coconut oil in hot Jamaican sun.

I think I'm the only person on the planet who gets enjoyment from 'Sing This Altogether'. In fact I must have been dropped on my head as a child because Satanic Majesties is one of my favourite albums of theirs.

I like Gomper, and that is because, at university, I used to smoke certain types of exotic ciggies to it.

By default, any stones song from 81 or earlier cannot fall under the guilty pleasure category.

Indian Girl, although Woody's pedal steel work is the only redeeming quality about the track

And I agree with some of the comments regarding Waiting On A Freind being a guilty pleasure. There should be no guilt in enjoying it. It's just a great song.

My guilty pleasure is Katy Perry.
There, I said it.

Guilty pleasure?
To each his own.
But since we are discussing it: Streets Of Love.
I have always loved that song.

P.S. Waiting On A Friend is not a guilty pleasure. It's one of their finest ballads and it has always been that. Maybe it's a guilty pleasure for some, if they think The Stones are at their best when they are playing mindless c***rock a la Where The Boys Go...

Don't get the concept of "guilty pleasure songs" but I have always loved Jagger's poofter voice on Fool To Cry.
